This little joy ride over to Europe and the middle east...Who exactly is footing the bill for this?

Well, probably to show America how well the rest of the world would receive him. After 8 years of Bush, I think many Americans want a President who is actually respected abroad. And he's up 9 points over McCain since the trip so it looked like it worked.

I know right?? It's not like it's important for the next potential POTUS to engage in politics on the world stage. Our reputation is so solid around the globe right now, that it's a huge waste of time and money.

Like McCain's trip last March, Obama's trip to Afghanistan and Iraq was funded by taypayers. As an official trip, he also had with him Hagel and Reed and was not allowed to bring a press corps. His trip to Europe and Jordan were funded by his campaign; that was why he didn't visit wounded troops in Germany. It would have been a campaign appearance.

You certainly work yourself into a tizzy Harry. He went to Europe to appear statesmanlike, which is important to some people. He came off very well, which for people concerned about his inexperience, was surely reassuring.

Where have you been? He is going there because socialiberalists, like PFiVA, love Europe, are constantly saying how much better it is than here. They think it is paradise, abortions on demand, cradle to grave welfare, high taxes. This was just pandering to the left of his party.
