Bush is no Winston Churchill when it comes to the spoken word.

It is very rare for a politician to be a poor public speaker. The very nature of the job requires good speaking skills. Neverthelss, a lot of very ignorant, bigoted people equate poor public speaking skills with being unintelligent. I have no doubt that if any us were constantly being recorded in everything we say, we would definitely have lapses that made us look like idiots too.

I can think of another public figure that is a horrendous public speaker: Ted Kennedy - especially when he is forced to speak off-the-cuff. Now what exactly do G.W. Bush and Ted Kennedy have in common...? They both rose to prominence on the strength of their famous names, so they were able to compensate for their poor speaking skills.

Care to address the more important assertion that there is something wrong with Bush either neurologically or otherwise? That is serious or did you not even look?

You're going to defend George by comparing him to Teddy?
You know you're in trouble when you have to go there! What if they're both feeling the effects of too much partying and/or the unrelated onset of dementia? The point of the thread is that there's something wrong with this guy. Pointing to another example of the same thing is a weak-arse defense.
    Try again.
