Steelers safety Anthony Smith has watched the Patriots on television and isn’t all that impressed with New England’s receivers.

He says the Bengals are better.

    ---

“They’ve got Randy (Moss) and the other little scat guy but they don’t have downfield threats like Cincinnati.”

    ---

“No question,” he said. “Really, (the Patriots’) only deep threat is Randy Moss. As long as we can contain him we’ll be all right.”

Smith is a big talker, but he also is our biggest hitter in the secondary and probably the best cover safety we have. Troy is quicker and can play more positions, but smith is the big playmaker now. He's young, and makes a mistake here and there, but overall that spleen condition that put clark out ended up being a blessing in disguise because it forced the staff to use smith even though they hate using younger players in the free safety position here

It's just a tactic to try and get a psychological edge. Anthony Smith read the press clippings about Moss commenting on the Ravens trash talking after the game. You even mention any of that kind of stuff publically and guys will keep trash talking because it means it affected you. I don't expect it to let up at all this season as a result.

Moss has been in this league for 10 years. Do you think he hasn't heard trash talking before? In 10 years nobody but the Ravens has talked trash to him.
    I don't believe that.

Who the hell is Smith? Like Moss says, "who is he and what has he done or accomplished to talk smack?"

He'll be the type to still be talking when his team is down by two scores.

I don't understand what this has to do with the thread?

Who cares how valuable you think he is. Steeler idiots think their waterboys have pro-bowl potential.

I think the point that was made clear was that he's an idiot.

Who is this Anthony Jones guy?

I know, just another bridesmaid who will be talking trash on the way out to the team bus after another Patriot victory. Muttering while his 15 minutes of fame (known as Patriot Week) for him is over.

Just like the fresh batch of trolls who come in here each week, thinking that they invented the concept of trolling and their team is the first to "stand up to the Pats". Take a number, kids.

You're not the first, you won't be the last to get stuck on the bottom of the Patriots' boots on this march into history.

    No Jersey Selected

wow! Hopefully this works out very well for us!!

I had a thread with some nice quotes right during spygate, including some comments by Mr. Ward. Was planning to use those during when we play those opponents. Will try to track it down when time permits and add to this.

    Anyone have more to add?

Shmessy, Quote: "Who is this Anthony Jones guy" ? Just another nobody with a size xxx-large mouth that will be crying "the best team didn't win if they lose" Just like the Steeler teams of the early-mid 2000's.
