Buccaneers letting Antonio Bryant walk

Yeah, but most of his whining is about his QB taking an important game off for a few "cobwebs".

:D:p

...and also claims that a certain team that smoked his two times in AFCCC games cheated.

Yeah....."They watched us get off the bus, and that ain't fair" !

I don't understand why so many people always want the Patriots to bring in players on "cheap prove it contracts". The world doesn't work like that all the time.

Since 2000, the Pats have had some good success with that approach.

We got Stallworth that way. Moss reworked his contract that way. We got Bodden that way as well. There's plenty of precedent for the Patriots 'prove it' contract approach.

You want a 36/37 year old who has seen his level of play decrease over the last two years and has been known to tear apart locker rooms? I'll pass.

How, in any way, was his play in Buffalo his fault? As for the rest of your concerns, visit the T.O. thread.

I really doubt we even kick the tires of this cancer.

We may have got lucky with Corey Dillon and Randy Moss, but Bryant
is a coaches nightmare.

Just ask Tuna.

It get's worse....

Bryant got into separate arguments with receivers coach Todd Haley and Keyshawn Johnson. When Parcells told Bryant to stop, the third-year player took off his pads and jersey, slammed them to the ground and began to leave the practice field.

Sources told the Star-Telegram that Parcells picked up the jersey and threw it back at Bryant, who then threw it in the face of the approaching coach.

Bryant was then escorted out of practice by security personnel.

No Thank You....

That does it for me! NO THANKS!

With Welker down, we're desparate for wide receivers. Bryant would likely be more than willing to sign a one-year show-me contract with incentives. I think folks underestimate how important it is to secure wide receiver targets that can contribute this year.

And yes, if Bryant worked out well, we would have much better options going into 2011.

My apologies. What is your point?
Every player that is suggested as a target of the Patriots, especially from a team of lesser quality or a player with suggested character issues on this board is commented as "bring them in on a prove it contract".

You simply cannot do that with all of your prospective free agents or released player.

I like the guy . But he has the same issues than Joey Galloway.

What do you mean by the same issues as Galloway. I think Bryant is a smart enough guy to understand the system. I really would like to see him on the roster next season. He is the #3 WR that we are looking for.

That's exactly the issue. I think he isnt smart at all . He has awesome speed, hands, agility and athleticism, but he is no even close to be a smart player

I think its worth giving him a shot as long as the money is right. Speed, hands and agility is the type of WR that we need to complement Moss, Welker/Edelman. I would also try and add someone similar to Bryant as well. If there is an issue similar to Galloway this past year we always have Patten as a safety valve if they dont work out.
