Buccaneers letting Antonio Bryant walk

In "Patriot Reign", there is a brief story about the Patriots 2003 combine interview with Pittsburgh CB Torrie Cox. They asked Cox about why he got into a fight in practice with Bryant the previous year (Bryant entered the 2002 Draft after his junior year with Pitt). Cox responded "Cause of that mouth of his". The Patriots contigent all laughed and told Cox he had "just gone up a notch in our eyes", because they too had been turned off by Bryant's attitude.

Unless Bryant has significantly changed (which by reports out of Dallas, Tampa, etc., he hasn't), I doubt the Patriots would be interested.

who cares if he will be over paid. it's not my money. and there is no cap.

it's going to take a miracle for welker to be 70% of he's own self at any point next year. moss will be 31 and the media will be doing everthing in there power to turn him into the randy moss, from the oakland raiders.

i would be much happer with Antonio Bryant, on the roster over david patten,

Too harsh? Not at all. Forgot one thing though: injury prone underachieving malcontent may be more accurate.

A year ago he was looking for a big contract and had to "settle" for a $9 million one-year franchise contract. Even after last season I'm guessing he's still looking for a big payday, even though his 2008 numbers were the exception and not the norm for him.
Yep I remember that, looks like Tampa got the best of that situation not giving in and now they will look to draft a young receiver for Freeman.

I need to go back and read PR. Too many good nuggets to forget...

An aboslute yes if the money is right. I think if we have to overpay a little for him, we should do it concidering how high the WR position is on our need list.

He would be a quality #3 WR, exactly what we need.
Moss
Edelman (Welker when he returns)
Bryant
Tate
Patten
Aiken

I would feel a lot better adding Bryant to our WR coorps.

Kevin Walter is also out there, guys. ;)

I think he'd be great for us... but money will be an issue as will health.

Only if he comes on a cheap, "prove it" contract. I would not offer big money and multiple years to a guy with such a questionable attitude that the Bucs cut him loose.

No kidding, people want Joey Galloway's fosterling... :ugh:

they grew tired of his constant complaining last season

Story of this guy's career. Pass.

I really doubt we even kick the tires of this cancer.

We may have got lucky with Corey Dillon and Randy Moss, but Bryant
is a coaches nightmare.

Just ask Tuna.

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Antonio Bryant reportedly had an altercation with coach Bill Parcells during practice Tuesday and was ejected by club security.

Witnesses who spoke on condition of anonymity told the The Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star-Telegram for Wednesday's editions that the confrontation began when Bryant complained about his role as the team's third receiver and the number of repetitions he was getting during a drill.

It get's worse....

Bryant got into separate arguments with receivers coach Todd Haley and Keyshawn Johnson. When Parcells told Bryant to stop, the third-year player took off his pads and jersey, slammed them to the ground and began to leave the practice field.

Sources told the Star-Telegram that Parcells picked up the jersey and threw it back at Bryant, who then threw it in the face of the approaching coach.

Bryant was then escorted out of practice by security personnel.

No Thank You....

Bryant is just not a fit. Move on.

Okay, Antonio Bryant it is. He should put up 1500 yards this year for receiving this honor.

Sign the guy and I'll give up my virginity.
That's incentive enough...

If Bryant can be had, then yes let's bring him in. He would be deadly lining up on the other side of Moss.

Why is almost every single great WR a diva, a whiner, a cancer? :bricks:

I wish there were more Troy Browns and Hines Wards in this league.

Ward has guts and then some, but he jabbers too.
