I think Lucic is going to be key in this series. I miss Byron Bitz in these types of games.

The Capitals are who we thought they were...a team with no concept of defense that feasted on Tampa, Florida, and Carolina. Did you catche the TV graphic with about 9 minutes left in the game...the one that said "Blocked shots -- Montreal 36, Washington 9"? Pathetic. If you're not willing to sacrifice your body, you don't deserve to get within sniffing distance of the Cup.

    No Jersey Selected

One of the Versus announcers labeled them best when he said the Caps offense plays with an "ad lib" urgency to their game. Granted, IMO Ovechkin is by far the most talented player in the world, but the Caps only gamep-lan is to see what Ovechkin can do with the puck and pick up his scraps. The concept to winning is basically the same in football. Great offense will only get you so far, but you won't do squat without solid , fundamental defense. Halak was amazing, but the mere fact that the Habs D was laying down everytime a Caps forward wound up and smothered almost any and all rebounds.

Love Sobotka. Just like the announder said...he's not afraid.

If the first period of this game is any indication of how the series will be played this is going to be an awesome series.

What a great game. I can't believe they couldn't get one in there at the start of the overtime.

Oh man ... I'm worn out ... what a game.

One of the best OT's i've ever seen especially that early onslaught.

Yeah ... the defense was a bit sloppy today and Rask was not at his best ...

Seemed like the defense was focused more on starting the play today as opposed to grinding it out and letting the offense flow from that. But I won't complain ... we're lucky to be here and it's all gravy from here.

there is nothing sweeter then a win in ot. i would love to see this team make it to the conference final at least. with four 1st round picks in the next two drafts including the number two pick over all the future is bright for the bruins. the more playoff exp the better.

Sorry to see Sturm's injury end his season.

MCL and ACL injury as he was finishing a check at the beginning of the game.

Hopefully he finds his way back to the ice in the near future.

Paille will take Sturm's spot on the top line with Bergeron and Recchi

Shawn Thornton back on the ice and getting early pressure ... good sign.

Bruins up 1-0 on a faceoff win by Bergeron ...

Boychuck one times it with a beautifull wrist shot high on the glove side.

    Johnny Pearson material ... :D

Also right now the Bruins are owning the slot ... :D

hey thanks for that update. I just got to tune in and was wondering what happened.

Lucic can look so stone footed out there. I don't think I've seen him atick handle for more than 3 seconds at a time. Still love his presence out there.

    Nice. Power Play!

    Go Bruins!

Met Don Cheevers at the Danvers rink way back when I was about 8. I remember he had on ripped jeans and was smoking a cigar.
