Interesting one. Denver fans certainly thought he played well last year.

I wanted the Pats to get him a few years back. I wouldn't be upset if they got him now.

    #11 Jersey

I would've liked him when he was available a couple years ago but he's 32-33 now and was never a great player. I think we can do better, but I'm all for bringing this type of guy for cheap to see if he can break the 53.

    He's 31 and won't be 32 until December.

Even assuming McKenzie is back healthy and able to contribute in his first full season, we only have 3 ILB's on the roster, and Guyton has some flexibility to move outside. Definitely worth bringing him in if he's interested.

Edit: I'm not counting Alexander as a real ILB. I consider him straight ST.

    Disable Jersey

Unless there's more to the story than just the Broncos deciding to go in another direction, Davis is a player who'd be worth bringing in to compete for an ILB spot.

Me neither. Especially a no/little risk contract.

No one, to my knowledge, has ever made that claim.

Is there ever a time where you're able to not be an insufferable tool? Ever?

You are like some kind of forum schizophrenic, fighting against an argument that just isn't there.

    #95 Jersey

I'd like to see him here as well.

Tanked, I agree with some of your arguments but sometimes it's a bit much.

I commented on the schedule thread within the schedule thread. This thread is about Andra Davis.

Definitely worth a flier IMO. Bring him to compete for a job at SILB. I thought he was pretty solid for Denver at ILB.

Does this signal a lot of interest in McClain from the Broncos? I think so.

I have posted on the Draft Forum.

Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of reading every single thread that is posted there.

    Ditto.

Of course, if we were interested, you'd think McD would give BB a call and see if he could at least get a 6th or 7th out of him. After all, we basically did that with Hochstein and LeKevin for McD.

    #54 Jersey

Go get him. He was fantastic for the Broncos last year, especially against the run.

Maybe JMD did and BB declined.

We rarely keep four "real" ILB's, but I'd certainly be fine with bringing him in to see if he can contribute. My guess is that an inexpensive run-stuffing veteran ILB would be most welcome.

True, but that doesn't mean we couldn't, given the uncertain status of McKenzie and the fact that we could technically count Guyton among the OLB.

I'm fine witr keeping Davis as our 4th ILB. I see no reason to count one of our starting ILB as an OLB, where is he is not likely to play.

I agree. I'm just saying if they didn't want to keep more than say, 8 total linebackers (outside of ST aces), Guyton's versatility gives them more flexibility.

I was hoping that BB would go after him what was it two years ago when he was a FA. So yeah like someone said kick the tires.
