When Samuel decides to show up it sounds like he and Hobbs will be a very strong pair this year - and they will have upgraded Safeties inside too.
Thank you for all of your hard work.
I live in Canada and have been a Patriots fan since the Bears Super Bowl game. I use this site to follow my favorite team and your hard work is appreciated.
The Patriots defense looks stacked. :singing:
Two Bam questions:
Does he have PS options remaining?
Has he seen any reps at CB? If all WRs stay/get healthy (a big if), CB might be his only ticket to the 53.
Only under the Billy Yates rule. If the Pats wish to keep Bam on their practice squad, they'll have to keep their 53-man roster full as long as Bam is on the practice squad. This rule was enacted last season.
Not since Week 17 of the 2005 season.
1) Keeping the 53 full should, I hope, be a no-brainer.
2) I can see why he played exclusively at WR last year. This year, however, things are a bit different. Perhaps later in TC, during the pre-season, if the WRs stay healthy, maybe some CB snaps will come his way.
Good sign. We've struggled against opponents slot guys in recent years. If Meriweather can be effective in that role, our pass defense will improve greatly.
