The Vikings just called off practice after 25 minutes, when Teddy Bridgewater went down on a non-contact play. Trainers immediately rushed to Bridgewater's side, while players dropped to one knee in prayer.

Sorry for the new thread but this one is with a bit bigger consequences ... to discuss

tough break for a good kid. watched him play last week and he looked good, and that is before they put AP behind him!

Sucks for the Vikings, they are set to open a new stadium, hopefully he is OK.

That silly RB move from Jimmy comes to mind again ... that really pissed me off

Damn. That blows. Ambulances aren't a thing usually needed for the "run of the mill" injuries.

Pray it's nothing serious.

Damn at first I read Hightower.

Bridgewater is a very limited QB but seems to be a nice kid and with him in the mix that division became more interesting, If he is out for the season it will a tragedy for the Vikings.

So... was it an injury or did he just collapse? Either way, fingers crossed for the kid. He looked like he was continuing to progress.

From PFT:

About 25 minutes into practice, Bridgewater went down and trainers rushed to talk with him. Bridgewater was reportedly grabbing at his left knee.

Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press tweeted that some players threw their helmets down and cursed, and that some knelt in prayer around Bridgewater. Brian Murphy of the Pioneer Press called it “a bad scene.”

It's a knee.

Sounds like a non-contact knee injury.

Working as one body all summer and then the guillotine strikes just before showtime ...

Back in media room. Team PR said Zimmer will speak with media soon. Total shock is best way to describe mood at Winter Park right now.

sucks, the vikings seem like they are trying really hard to run a clean ship, outside of AP. Zimmer has always seemed like a decent dude, so its gotta hurt to see the Franchise go down.

Terrible. Worst thing about the NFL.

To be fair, though, this was a non-contact injury.

Assuming it wasn't because of a s—ty field, this could have happened a lot of other ways.
