because without them, we aren't going anywhere this year.

Other rookie WR's having success early on already. DeAndre Hopkins, Robert Woods, Coderelle Patterson, etc.

Our rookie WR's obviously have a lot of talent. Dobson rarely dropped a pass in his last year at College, yet he dropped so many passes on Thursday. Dobson actually had his man beat a few times but just couldn't catch the ball, indicating nerves and lack of focus. Thompson looked great in preseason but ***** the bed in regular season so far.

Why are our rookie WR's so full of nerves while other rookie WR's are already succeeding?

Probably because they have a hall of fame QB yelling at them and belittling them. When you worry too much about dropping a pass, you end of dropping more passes. Their confidence looks shot.

Brady needs to learn how to work with these youngsters because they will be the difference between a playoff run and one-and-done.

Brady knows how they are gonna be successful. Yes he was mad thursday night, but did you see he was frustrated with himself at times? I think he admitted his TD throw was behind Dobson a little. He knows he was kinda out of line. Tom and the wr have to work together to get better. I am sure Brady has been helping them. He knows they are the key to success. Tom isn't sulking because that's not how he is. He is a fiery player and leader. These are rookies in 2 NFL games. And a short week. Expect alot of improvement. This offense learned alot Thursday and expect alot of improvement.

Also, we don't exactly know why Tom was completely frustrated, some seemed to be on the wr and himself. But he might of needed to vent a little. He is being asked to do alot of extra work, he might be a little stressed. But with 2 wins and no losses, we should feel good.

    He does.

He's just frustrated and probably doesn't respect the fact that he's been disrespected by the team after taking a pay cut, so they can take away his favorite most reliable WR, replace him with an injury prone one, and do absolutely nothing to give him anything else at WR, like a decent downfield threat. Instead, they give him a bunch of rookie WRs. Yeah, like we have time for them to develop under Brady. Sure, they'll learn the offense quickly. Sure, we've had a great history of drafting WRs, haven't we?

Dobson had drops day 1 of the Senior Bowl too so it seems to be a nerves thing.

Brady also clearly trusts/respects him because he kept going back to him - including a 3rd down fairly late in the 4th quarter which was converted.

It's big boy football. They don't need lollipops, stuffed unicorns, and participation ribbons.

Anyone who is too mentally weak to take well-deserved criticism is not showing the qualities necessarily to succeed here, or most other places for that matter.

What do you expect Belichick is going to say to them when they watch that film? "Good job guys. You gave your best attempt!"
No, he's going to rightfully rip them apart. There's no respect in Belichick's film reviews. If you mess up, you get chewed out. Does Belichick need to learn to respect every single one of his players?

He has worked with them and despite what's happened I think he respects them. However, if they want sustained respect, they need to be in the right place at the right time and catch the ball when it's thrown well. And, for what it's worth, I think Brady needs to tone down the public displays of angst and disappointment. He has made errors, as well, most notably overthrowing Edelman badly on what would have been an easy TD.

Are they, though? Their confidence looks shaky already.

It's bringing back memories of Chad Jackson and Brandon Tate.

Rookie WR's settling in is all about confidence and being comfortable. Bradys admitted body language and yelling at them isn't going to help either of those.

He needs to put on his baby gloves and be more positive. These kids are 12-15 years younger than him too. I'm sure being his whipping boy isn't helping them shake their rookie jitters.

By the way, these are grown men. Not little 12-14 year old kids. Brady isn't "belittling" anyone. I don't know if you've ever played sports, but people get fired up during the game. It's normal. It's not like he shuns them after games in the locker room, or ignores them & acts like a d!ck outside the field. You can bet that doesn't happen.

While many people would make this argument, what is the relevance to this thread?

Yes, maybe he should have to go sit on the timeout pillow, and if the does it again, he should have to sit out recess and write "I will try to be nicer" 500 times. In cursive.

Op is right. Positive feedback works much better than negative.. Brady is acting like a spoiled brat. Doesn't matter what level of competition or age or whatever, positive works better than negative. Its been proven.

I thought Chad Jackson had maturity issue and was too arrogant
