It's about time. For an offense based on adjustments and timing, I'd think that working with the WR's is critical. What happened to the hardest working and most dedicated player on the team?

And I'm sure Brady is doing all the conditioning and strength training he needs to do.

Time off isn't a bad thing, particularly for a 34 year old guy in a very physically demanding job.

Rivers, Sanchez, Manning, and Roethliesberger have ALL already had their guys out on local high school or college fields, running through drills and practicing...These teams are WAY AHEAD of the Pats already...WTF?

Supposedly Sanchez already has the NYJ offense installed....

Why is Tom Terrific waiting so long?

RELAX PATS FANS JUST KIDDING :D

    let's go Bruins....

I know these workouts mean a lot to uneasy fans. Don't mean a thing to Bill...for a reason. Absent the coaching staff he'd likely just as soon they stick to individual conditioning drills and working on whatever their coaches instructed them to when last they parted...

In the past, Brady consistently won the award for off season work outs. He seemed to be the one pushing his team mates and holding them accountable.

Um...that was when they weren't in a lockout. And actually he hasn't won that particular award for years. In part because after 3 extended seasons in his first 4 years as a starter, BB advised him to get away from the game more in the offseason so he could physically heal and mentally decompress. It's fine for Brady outwork teamates and to push guys to work just as hard and hold them accountable - and according to informed sources (his HC and teamates) he continues to do both. It's not all that productive for him to try and hold an organized workout that coaches can't attend and run.

Is it safe to assume that you don't have a wife and kids?

I know your kidding but I'd bet anyone a hundred bucks that Brady is following a schedule that he and Belichick worked out during the 2010 season.

Hmm, the first Brady organized team work-out is the exact same that the first mandatory minicap takes place...

He clearly doesn't show that one kind of dedication (showing up in Foxborough in March).

But for all we know he's doing as much more in Cali than he did in NE.

I agree, I saw absolutely no dedication last year when Brady won the MVP trophy and led one of the youngest teams in the league to a 14-2 record.

If that truly were the case, then the Pats players would not already have playbooks.

But Felger and the entitled fanboys can't see him or it...:scream:

You expect them to take the word of his coaches and teamates to a man? How naive...;)

it's being reported that 40-50 players showed up....that's significant.

Who says they do? And even if they did, who says they understand them... Why do we have coaches at all if that's the case? Why does Bill wear a whistle and send guys on laps and spew expletives and take players aside? To chat about current events? Did he bench Merriweather last season because he thought he needed a rest or because he wasn't doing what the coaches kept asking him to do despite being in clear possession of a playbook???

Bill scoffs at these dis-"organized workouts". He's just hoping they don't get hurt or develop a lot of bad habits he'll have to beat out of them...

More likely it was a lot of fun and bonding mixed in with a little exercise and some exasperation... Kinda like pro bowl practices...
