Mass. gov tells state workers to shut out Hyatt - Yahoo! Finance
dammit, they laid people off!!!
Yes, they should be boycotted. It's despicable that they used the workers they were laying off to train the new workers and didn't even try to negotiate with the workers they laid off. It's one thing to lay workers off, but the way Hyatt went about it is completely immoral. Their decision will actually cost them a couple thousand dollars a year from my family, which will certainly boycott. My sister just changed her reservation to the Marriott.
Why don't we boycott the state government for forcing the layoffs of hundreds of state and local employees through the various budget cuts and local aid cuts
This isn't a layoff. It's a worker replacement. They replaced good employees with new ones who work for half the price. It's not a layoff.
Did you miss the "Azzwholes!" remark by him?
Are you a Hyatt executive?
Are you a Hyatt employee laid off?
I think he was referring to Hyatt, not you.
How do you boycott Hyatt for doing the exact same thing everyone else has been doing for decades?
There was a time when hotel guests were more interested in knowing for a fact that they could leave something valuable in their room without fear of the maid stealing it because the maid had too much invested in her job to muck around with something like that. Now hotel guests just want the lowest possible price and Hyatt's forced to adapt to the situation as it is today.
Its dirty pool doing it the way they did it though.
Not hard to misconstrue it given his reaction...if he meant them fine I apologize to him but if he meant the responses by myself and Tank then I do not.
You don't really. You appease the SEIU and unions whom he needs in next year's election when he faces a tough challenge from Tim Cahill.
This will only end up costing the state money that it does not have.
