That was too good! BB is such a charming snake! Thanks Chris!

It could be that today was Chris' breathru game.

Multiple ... interesting posts ... delivered pronto ... at least one a real scoop (the 1941 dropkick).

:rocker: It's been a foregone conclusion, Ian should double his pay. :D

Watching Sportscenter the preview for NFL Primetime featured one play, guess which? :D

Question: Why do it? a drop kick is much harder than a conventional extra point. What can be the possible reason?
Answer: So Bellechick can continue to have his ego stroked and be called a genius.
That was bush-league crap just to get people talking about him in a game that he otherwise tanked.

I appreciate the love, guys (and girls). Just hoping we can get as much information out to Patriots Nation as fast as possible. We'll be blogging throughout the postseason -- don't forget to keep checking in.

Thanks,
Chris

Sucks to be envious of the World Champs, doesn't it?

OK. . . . since when is your second- and third-stringers losing by two to another team's starters tanking?

And, BTW, Dr. Belichick, may we please see Cassel (replacing a healthy Brady, thankyouverymuch) with the rest of the "A" team sometime this year? Preferably on network TV, in the preseason? :)

Sucks not to be able to come up with a logical rebuttal.

In a meaningless game, why not do it? Why not criticize Holmgren and Shaun Alexander for going in for a meaningless touchdown to get him a record? Do they have huge egoes too?

PS...this post is rhetorical. I don't want you to reply b/c it is just going to be some rant about Belichick and his ego, on a PATS FAN board that will ultimately sound ridiculous.

I seldom rise to flame bait, but...Huh? "Called a genius"??? It was just a bit of fun, a lighthearted moment of team spirit. See, if you're Bill Belichick, your sense of humor is best expressed through the medium of play-calling. (And injury reporting, of course.)

Box of Rocks,
I now understand the meaning of your handle.

Say something logical

Not flame at all. Just calling a spade a spade. As I said, bush league. Guess BB really did want the 4th seed.

He probably did. After all Jax is inexperienced and you guys have been playin' some good ball for the past month. The Steelers going out against Indy in the divisional round suits BB just fine!

OK, lets see if you all can grasp this - the Pats had a chance to tie at the end of the game. If they miss the punt point, they have no chance to tie the game. So...calling a a risky play that accomplishes nothing even if it works (other than to make Sportscenter highlights), directly jeopordizes the chances of winning the game. Since BB was obviously decided since he wasn't going to try 100 percent to win (and possibly even tank the game), he'd still get his name on Sportcenter.
I hope the Jags realizes this measure of disrespect.

Eat a TURD
