Bledsoe: I could have done all this too!

The overtime TD pass to Troy Brown in Miami in '03 80 some odd yards to win the game

THAT'S a great one!

Tom threw from the dirt in the infield - the same dirt that caused Olindo Mare to miss not one, but TWO field goals - one in regulation that would have ended the game and one in OT that gave the Pats the ball.

On the next play from scrimmage, Brady hits Troy with a strike that #80 caught right in front of us (section 107) and left Sam Madison and Brock Marion in his dust as he raced into the end zone!

It was great walking out of JRS that day!

Bledsoe sucked on a loaded Dallas offense. No way he can do it for Chicago which comparatively has less weapons than Dallas.

My Brady moment was the Snow Bowl. Sure, he had other solid games that are mentioned (17-16 Jets, etc) but prior to XXXVI, being down 13-3 in the 3rd qtr and going 32-50 for 302 yards in a blizzard was for the ages.

Agreed, but the issue is would he be good for Da Bayiz vs Rex? I think so, but it's too late in the season to learn an offense w/o a training camp. Esp given that Drew is not a quick learner or notable student of the game. Bledsoe supporters always used the excuse that he had a new OC and had to learn a new offense.

This is not a fair evaluation. Bledsoe was fine, although not spectacular, during his first season for the Cowboys, and compiled an 83.7 QB rating (for those who follow that stat) for a 9-7 team. He did get off to a slow start during his final season, and Romo started off well so he kept the job.

It should be noted, however, that once teams adjusted to Romo last season, that team struggled every bit as much it had with Bledsoe in, as the Cowboys lost 4 of their last 5 games including the playoff game.

Tony Romo was 2x the QB compared to Bledsoe last year and is off to a fanstastic start. They made the playoffs because of him. The team rallied around him. Not Drew. Sound familiar?

Yes, it sounds like another Bledsoe basher who wants to ignore the truth. Bledsoe led the team to a 3-3 start. Romo led the team to a 6-4 finish, including losses in 3 of the last 4 games. During that 4 game stretch, Romo threw as many interceptions (6) as touchdowns. He then proceeded to choke away the playoff game against another 9-7 team.

If that's how the team "rallied around him", I'd hate to see how they would throw him under the bus.

FYI: It's perfectly acceptable to prefer Brady as your quarterback and, yet, not unfairly attack Bledsoe at the same time.

You are misreading my arguement. Bledsoe was BENCHED by his biggest supporter in Bill Parcells because he felt Romo could win them the games that Bledsoe could not. He did and they went to the playoffs. Do you think that they would have made the playoffs with Bledsoe starting all 16 games?
