    if true....

No wonder everyone hates us.....We are not a nation that outsources crusades. We are not a nation that outsources murder in the name of obstructing justice. How did we the people accept a mercinary force that wages a holy war, answerable to only the Secretary of Defense, The Vice President and the President? What has been going on?

    Blackwater Founder Implicated in Murder

A former Blackwater employee and an ex-US Marine who has worked as a security operative for the company have made a series of explosive allegations in sworn statements filed on August 3 in federal court in Virginia. The two men claim that the company's owner, Erik Prince, may have murdered or facilitated the murder of individuals who were cooperating with federal authorities investigating the company. The former employee also alleges that Prince "views himself as a Christian crusader tasked with eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the globe," and that Prince's companies "encouraged and rewarded the destruction of Iraqi life."

Interesting development.. always considered Blackwater as parallel/threat to our gov't instead of a contractor.. too big, too much firepower...

But then maybe I take "24" too seriously..

“The former employee, identified in the court documents as ‘John Doe #2,’ is a former member of Blackwater’s management team, according to a source close to the case,” Scahill noted. “Doe #2 alleges in a sworn declaration that, based on information provided to him by former colleagues, ‘it appears that Mr. Prince and his employees murdered, or had murdered, one or more persons who have provided information, or who were planning to provide information, to the federal authorities about the ongoing criminal conduct.’ John Doe #2 says he worked at Blackwater for four years; his identity is concealed in the sworn declaration because he ‘fear violence against me in retaliation for submitting this Declaration.’ He also alleges, ‘On several occasions after my departure from Mr. Prince’s employ, Mr. Prince’s management has personally threatened me with death and violence.’”

There's nothing like a little selective reading of religious texts to justify crusades and the destruction of other nations for the sake of profit.

Wow, this reminds me of The Insider. Great movie, by the way. We should get John Doe #2 Michael Mann's contact information.

Blackwater was allegedly profiting by smuggling weapons into Iraq as well.

Jeremy Scahill is one of the true heroes of modern, dying journalism.

Certain people -- even right here on this forum -- would prefer that the 4th Estate was silenced and never held Christie-fascists accountable. Fortunately, some segments of the press DID their job, and continue to expose the empire.

With a conscience like this perhaps modern journalism should die. Is Jesse Macbeth John Doe 1 or John Doe 2?

Took a while to figure this one out, but here is what you are saying... Dahr Jamail is bad, because of what he writes about ... Jeremy Scahill in the past has spoken well about Dahr Jamail.. therefore what Jeremy Scahill wrote about Blackhawk is bad or not valid.. faulty logic 101.

So if Erik Prince did kill someone in the name of god it is ok, because Jeremy Scahill who wrote a scathing book on Blackwater.. did Rush say that???

I'm not a partisan boob like you. I don't read books that I think agree with my worldview.

Heard Scahill on the radio last night, he said he had this story for years but could never get anyone on the record.

He also predicts that on Friday, this case might be tossed out by the conservative judge in the DC area. If so, I will be livid. Its something like 6 cases wrapped into one. He didn't sound like a guy who thought this was going anywhere. he used the phrase "Power tends to side with power" Talked a LOT about the roots of Eric Prince, his family being hard core rightwingers. So much so, that he initially refused to deal with teh bush regime, because it wasn't conservative enough for him...

I'm paraphrasing at best...wasn't taking notes on his statements while driving, strictly for safety.

Yes, you most certainly are a partisan boob. Don't kid yourself.

Considering your plethora of racist undertones throughout this forum, you come off as far from semi-educated... In the wrong direction.

    Do get over yourself, jaggie.
