    .

Hillary's high-profile stint as Secretary of State is at risk because of husband Bill's international "charitable foundation" is often putting the touch on foreign governments. Would make things murky if Hill were Sec/State.

Headaches for Barack, even more for Hillary. Will she ever get her big chance????

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) is President-elect Obama’s first choice for secretary of State but his aides are becoming exasperated by the Clinton camp’s pokey response to demands for extensive information about former President Bill Clinton’s finances, according to numerous Democrats involved in the process.

“The sense among the no-drama Obama world is: This is well on its way to winning best Oscar for drama,” said one well-connected Democratic official.

There are signs, however, that the Clintons may move decisively to satisfy the vetting requests in coming days, clearing the way for a “Team of Rivals” cabinet that would bring the president-elect’s opponent for the Democratic nomination into his historic administration.

Democratic officials make it sound like the job has been all but offered to her. But the ball is in her court to show that the former president’s many foreign and financial entanglements would not pose huge conflicts of interest if she were the nation’s chief diplomat, the officials said.

Obama isn’t likely to formally offer the post to Clinton unless he’s given assurances Bill Clinton’s global charitable foundation won’t create future conflicts of interest with foreign governments, according to a person familiar with the situation.

If nothing else, the next 4 years are going to be very entertaining with these made for SNL personalities. Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Bill and Hillary. Who can be National Security Advisor, Al Gore? John Kerry? Bill "Judas" Richardson? Very exciting.

Biden may be a bit of an easy touch for comedians, but I'll bet right now that none of those you mention -- or any other Dems, for that matter -- will get the crucifixion treatment that Sarah Palin and John McCain got. SNL kill their own???? No way.

Vetting your prospective cabinet members is a very good thing, see some of the mistakes the Republicans have made.

Obama does not want any of his cabinet member and close associates to be accused of conflict of interest.. an appearance of inpropriety.

I said that way back last summer, that Obooma would win and then the circus would start, for the next four years the 6 o'clock news will be like a "left wing liberal sit com" and if they get bad enough in the year 2010 when we go to the polls again the people will be so sick of all this Politically Correct Obama Bullsh!t that the Republicans will sweep the country up.

Remember all the crap the Sore Loser Liberal Democrats have given Bush for the last eight years, WELL NOW IT'S OUR TURN.

    GOD DAMN AMERICA (obama preacher)

Yeah, in that case SNL probably saved Clinton from removal from office. So many people were making so light of it, "oh, come on!!! It was only sex!! Where's your sense of humor??" (But did SNL parody Hillary or Chelsea during that run?? )

Wait, you cant have it both ways. Using your Fogic, SNL did Palin a favor by "making light" of her. SNL doing a parody of Hillary and Chelsea would be like SNL doing a parady of Palins kids. the point is, SNL skewered Clinton and made him a laughing stock the same way it did to Palin. So your complaint is baseless. Dan Ackroyd used to parody Jimmy Carter. And Jon Lovitz did a great one of Dukakis. And Darryl Hammonds Al Gore impersonation got into Gores head so much it affected his next debate performances.

To maintain consistent Presidential naming, I believe you should say "Jefferson's finances."

This has been a public service announcement.

Big difference: Clinton was already in office, so the effect of those parodies was to soften his exposure to what he had done; people started to feel "sorry" for him because of the SNL bits. For Palin, as aspiring candidate, the SNL bits helped enormously to create an awful image of her, probably turning millions away from her as they were trying to make up their minds. Huge difference on the effects.

And rightly so. Gore's nuts. Certifiable. He should focus his energies on converting his tobacco farm to high-grade spinach or flax seed.
