Which of these players on the Cowboys is more a concern from having a big day and a bigger challenge to the secondary.....Whitten or Bryant?

For me it's Bryant. The tall athletic receivers have been killing us so far. It's gonna be a shootout. But hopefully Romo will help us out.

Whitten. Going to zone coverage has seen the return of Devin McCourty.

I think we'll play Chung on Whitten in the same manner the Patriots blanketed Gates.

As far as just the secondary is concerned?

Bryant, because the safeties will have linebacker help with Witten...

We are one of the better teams stopping Tight Ends in the league.
Yes, I know, it's hard to admit, but our defense is actually good at something.

With that said, Dez Bryant.

Who is this Whitten guy? :)

It's tough for me to understand how can a poster start a thread and not even bother to check if he got the title right or not...

It tougher for me to understand that every other poster copied the same. lol. :)

Witten. He and Romo will bleed out 1st downs if you let them. Bryant is big and the "stop Gates, suffer VJax" parallels are there, but Rivers made some outstanding throws to VJax while I don't see Romo doing the same.

Regards,
Chris

If Bryant didn't shut himself down with so many re-occuring injuries and not being in game shape I'd say it's him. He's tall, fast, and can make big plays. Fortunately for us he hasn't been very effective beyond the first 2 quarters so lets hope it stays that way.

Witten has always been Romo's security blanket. I think we'll employ a similar game plan to shut down the TE like we do when we face San Diego or Indy.

Tough to say. I went with Bryant because the Pats have done a good job of shutting down TEs this year, and have had a lot of trouble with big receivers. But, therein lies the problem, I guess. We can't seem to shut both down at the same time. Hopefully "Bad" Tony Romo shows up and makes a few throws to Big Vince!

Go Pats!
