I'm inclined to agree with you. Frankly, in terms of decreasing expectations, I'm more perplexed by Jason Bay's lengthy feeble performance. It's far beyond the usual "dry stretch." As one who was looking for Theo to lock Bay up a while ago, I have to confess that I'm now not sure that should happen. Jason Bay's been stinking up the joint this month, and in June he hit 0.230 with a 0.301 OBP.
The Boston media hasn't been hysterically covering this, because he isn't some big Black dude.

He POPED one out? I saw Dave Kingman do that. It looked like a pop up when he hit it, but he hit it so hard it made it over the wall in left and the Sox lost.Big Popup just jacked one to center ... #14 - 3 run shot.
