You are starting to get it, it does not matter who is in office... there are shot callers who run this country, the elected folks are just puppets answering to another master...

Kind of along those same lines. I was going to post a segment I saw on MSNBC. It was concerning Alan Simpson, who was throwing the war veterans under the bus. Simpson was appointed to some committee concerning $$$$$$$$$$$$$. His answer..........he bashed the veterans who were receiving benefits for treatment of Agent Orange. Yea Allen, how dare those Fkning vets try to rake us over just because they sucked in some chemicals while serving our country. The replacement host (?) was outraged for some reason. He thought that we shouldn't be subsidizing oil companies and that would be a good place for Simpson to look for the $$$.
To your point, I guess even when your retired, once a puppet, always a puppet.

Dow Chemical beat that rap.. just wait till they figure out who is to blame for the Gulf Wind Syndrome, whoever that is will beat that rap also.. the taxpayers foot the bill for the sins of the industriasts(shot callers)... and all the while they are the ones who dictate what does nor does not get done in this country.

Never forget Admiral Zumwalt when he found out his son got cancer for Agent Orange, and subsequently died... he must have felt like shyt.

Except this flies in the face of the notion that the tea party is simply an "astroturf" movement... they're going after the guys who would supposedly payroll them.

They will loose that battle, if you really believe that they will not be influenced and seduced by the big bucks thrown at them, then you are not paying attention or understand how DC works(naivete).. most recently Scott Brown became one of them.. as expected.

Gave this some thought during that dismal 2nd half yesterday... big business loves the Tea Party, they are doing their dirty work to increase their bottom line..

Commence with the Corporations who could not be happier. They have bought a Supreme Court and had it change the meaning of the Constitution to fit the Corporate agenda. THe Corporate agenda is usually about what is good for the Corporation's short term bottom line and ultimately not good for citizens, not good for a nation, and not good for an economy.

What stuns me is that the Tea Baggers are not outraged by this Supreme COurt ruling. I would have thought that they would have been upset that a Corporation was deemed on equal footing as a Citizen. It seems that Liberals are more upset about this than the COnservatives.

I think that in the modern political climate of this nation-the thinking is that if Liberals are for it, then Conservatives are against it....Not smart use of a brain Tea Baggers.

Liberals care more about what's good for the Individual than Corporations do. COnservatives care about what is good for the individual more than COrporations do...Corporations don't care about your political leaning. Just more of your money, more of your land, more power. More control.
    Cheaper labor...

The Constitution provides freedoms from the Federal Government. Not from the ever growing influence upon your live from the Corporatacracy.

Unfortunately most do not see this, and just follow along.. to follow along, because what is happening seems shiny or new.. instead it is a pretty package, with a very bad present inside..
