Seems a lot of folks on this board are all of the sudden very impressed with the Jets this season. Some even see them being the new kings of the AFC East over the next decade. Before we address that, who do you think had the better team this season? Me? The Patriots, easily. The Jets were at best an 8-8 team this season. Now when I say the Jets are at best an 8-8 team I'm not using the ol' "Well if this play went differently then they would of loss that game!" fans always love to use. Rather, just clearly seeing like everyone else did that the last two teams they played did not try to win the game. There is absolutely no chance in hell the Colts lose to the Jets had they not pulled their starters, none. The Jets at that point would have been 7-8 and eliminated from playoff contention. Had the Bengals play their starters the following week, it certainly could have been competitive, as they are two very comparable teams (though the Jets obviously played better Wild Card weekend) and even giving that win to the Jets still would only put them at 8-8. I certainly do not see the Jets beating the Chargers this week.
