Who would you consider to have been the best newcomer in 2005?

It's hard to argue against a guy who started 16 games, so I'll nominate Mankins.

note: with only ten spots open, I think I could safely leave Duane Starks off the list

*I considered adding Ben Watson to the list just because this was his first year of action, but I figured I'd stick with the guidelines.

Logan then Nick..then Hobbs..then heath...

Tim Dwight looked like an early favorite but he faded over the season... indeed most of the FAs were a big disappointment

I think you have to look among the rookies - and for me, Kaczur gets the award for stepping in a LT and keeping Brady alive and well

my top three,
Nick Kazur
Logan Mankins
Ellis Hobbs

in that order.

Soooo hard to pick just one, but seeing how Kaczur and Hobbs were leading Mankins 3 to 1... I had to vote for our favorite nut-smacker. :D

Hobbs gets my vote! One thing this team is really in need of is a return guy and Hobbs is starting to show promise there.

LOL!

O-line is a mystery to me but there's no doubt that Hobbs added to the defense when he came in -- and the returns were good too. So Hobbs it is for me.

Not sure if he was the "best" but I voted for Kaczur because of the job he did filling in for Light at left tackle. If you broke down the films Mankins may have been #1 but to go in and keep Brady's blind side protected deserves my vote.
