Who is the best corner in the draft, not including Leon Hall. He likely won't be there when we pick anyway.

    Aaron Ross
    Daymeion Hughes
    Darrelle Revis
    Chris Houston
    Marcus McCauley

    Who would you choose?

Edit: If you would like to include other CB's you can as well.

What I like about him is his size. He's 6' 2" but I'm still waiting to see his 40 time because the knock on him is that he might not have the speed to stick with NFL receivers on deep routes. He certainly knows how to get interceptions though.

Maybe but draft sites have extensive coverage of the Senior Bowl and I saw no mention of the correction. The combine will tell for sure.

Marcus McCauley sucks! Of the five listed, McCauley is the one most likely to be a bust.

The Cal site actually lists him as 5-11 but weirdly all the draft sites have him at 6-2.

You are right. This is from the Senior Bowl part of footballsfuture.com

I knew people stretched the truth but four inches is a BIG stretch.

Sleeper pick is Travarous Bain of Hampton. I believe he is a 4th round pick, mainly because not only for his play at CB, but his ability to return punts and kickoffs.

Another CB to keep an eye on is Michael Coe of Alabama State. I think he could slide at the end of round three with a good showing at the combines. He had a great Senior Bowl campain, during drills and all. So he is a fast riser.

Lieing like that makes no sense to me. The truth is going to come out eventually when they do the official measurements at the Senior Bowl, Combine, and Pro Day. And then when you are outted it is in front of NFL scouts which is just embarassing and does not leave them with a good impression. I don't get why he would do it.

Cornerback has to be a first round priority for the Pats. They should

consider trading up a little to get ther best available.

    #54 Jersey

Doesn't appear to be any "special" CBs, trading up doesn't sound like a very good approach to me. If Samuel signs then CB is not a round 1 priority, if he leaves it is a bright red 10 alarm emergency... ok maybe some slight hyperbole but still if he leaves it changes the whole offseason.

    #12 Jersey

This was McShay's latest on some of these guys and the issues they fill be facing at the combine, I particularly agree with Hall who was awful against Ginn and Jarrett.

I still like Revis the best with Houston second.

    Michigan CB Leon Hall
Hall's lack of recovery speed was exposed versus Ohio State WR Ted Ginn Jr. and during Senior Bowl week. Clocking a 40-yard dash time in the 4.4-second range at the combine could re-establish Hall as the top cornerback prospect in the 2007 class.

    Cal CB Daymeion Hughes
Hughes notched eight interceptions as a senior and was the most impressive cover corner at the Senior Bowl before a hamstring injury forced him to call it quits midway through the practice week. Now Hughes' goal at the combine is to prove the injury is behind him by clocking a 40-yard dash time in the 4.4-second range.

What I suspect will happen to Asante Samuel is that he will be franchised.

Then, he may or may not be traded. Even if he is on the Pats roster in 2007,

the Pats have to draft a cornerback in round one to get someone ready to

play in 2008. They may have to trade up A LITTLE to get a good one.
