I know there are more knowledegable people on this board than me -- I am interested in this:
How much difference does the (legitimate) crowd noise make?
I suspect it's a big difference when one side can hard count and the other cannot. And when the DEs are looking at the ball while the OTs are going on peripheral vision and on movement by the guards.
Does this give a 1/2 or 1/4 step to the DEs that they would not have for a rematch in January in Foxborough.
