As is typical we have the "sky is falling" posts due to the sluggish, somewhat anemic first game the Patriots put out there yesterday. Get down off the Tobin Bridge people. But, for Belichick, this is *great*. Sure the team won by the skin of their teeth (due to the the second half adjustments and better play) but this is just the object lesson hoped to be able to wield to make his team snap to. If they'd won a blow out the way some of us were predicting they'd have assumed that all these divisional games were within their grasp rather than Belichick's philosphy that *every* team is dangerous and *never* look beyond anyone. Belichick will use this "victory" to urge his team to harder preparation, more focus and I'm fairly sure we'll see a much improved product on the field for their second game. Remember, no team doesn't have holes it's how you work around/fill them that sets you apart from the rest of the teams in the NFL.
