Just got a press release on it, but I guess he was mic'd up. Set your DVR's if you have that channel tonight, 9pm :)

Not sure, although "Sound FX" on the NFL Network sometimes ends up with segments from it as well.

Belichick wired for sound on tonight's "Inside the NFL" on Showtime

Always watch the inside the NFL. Just to see the highlights. Gonna look forward to this one. Brady was mic'd for the NO game and they showed it. It was awesome!

Belichick is really good at telling people that they did a good job.

There is also a show on the NBC sports network (NBCSP is the specific channel) called "Turning Point" which showcases 3 games each week where the players/coaches are mic'ed up.

Since they are all done and owned by NFL Films, all of the mic'ed up segments air the same, give or take a specific scene here and there.

The only issue with "Turning Point" is that they are normally the 3 closest games, so I'm thinking that we won't make the cut this week; although the footage from the Saints game they had was the exact same as the other clips that were shown on all of the other shows.

It's good to see Belichick praise everyone for good work, singling them out one by one. It's also good to see him remaining calm in his explanations (for at least those that we see here) regarding what can be done better, etc.

I never understood the ridiculousness of the "players hate their coach" story/rumor, but I'm guessing that the majority of players who end up leaving here not named Richard Seymour respect the hell out of Bill Belichick.

I think there could even be a reasonable debate as to whether or not he's improved his teaching methods the past couple of years or so, although that would be difficult to assess. Any way you look at it, he seems to be relating to the players pretty well for this specific 2013 team that is filled with many younger and newer faces.

    3 of my favorites..

to ridley-- "Thats the way to be physical buddy"
to the team -"Thats my fault dammit"
    and the best
"Matt, you want to bring it on this guy ???" (cue patricia lack of blitz haters...):_

As time goes on I still enjoy listening to this man, his football intelligence always comes through.. I always want to hear more.

To admit he was wrong to his defense is huge in this league, and shows what a great leader he is...

Maybe I focus on Pats Football too much, but do not see many HC's huddling with their O or D and coaching them on that level....

It is SO obvious that BB simply LOVES coaching football. Comes through in every frame, even the blank-ups.

    :agree:
So many people get this backwards, thinking that admitting mistakes or allowing your mind to be changed makes you look weak. In fact, taking blame on yourself is part of being a strong leader. People respect and trust those who hold themselves to a high standard.

(P.S. to internet tough guys: the corollary is that if you never, ever admit you're wrong, and when faced with proof get all squirrelly and pretend that wasn't what you said to begin with, you come off as small and pathetic. Just an FYI.)

It's true. I've been to a few games and I always try and take as many BB pictures as I can. The guy is always with his defense..coaching. He is a pure coach not some drama queen in a headset, lording it over the sidelines. I love that about him

Also LOVE the whole, "Dammit, that's my fault, I *****ed that up." That's just HUGE, being able to take the responsibility on your shoulders. Love our guy.

Taking responsibility and admitting to it is rare these days.

Saying that to the players makes his criticisms of their poor play in film review less personal and simply a results oriented critique of job performance.

Exactly! And to say that to a bench full of players who've been alive slightly longer than he's been coaching. In fact, show my a single second of footage in this video (or anywhere OUTside of the media room) where BB has come across as arrogant. You can't, because he's not. Supremely confident, yes. An arrogant douche, no (well, only to the mediots, but the deserve it).

Yes, we can tell by your username :D

Awesome, I love the Sound FX series. I really provides a great glimpse into how it all happens on the sidelines and field. BB is the man.. I'm not so sure he hangs it up when Brady does. Unless Brady plays till he's 45.

I can't see BB ever retiring. He's gonna be out there until his death bed. And even then he'll probably have a couple of last game plans planned out. If you think you love football more than BB, you are WRONG.

Without meaning to sound overly cheesy, I think that he could easily write a book covering many subjects outside of the game of football. The psychology of the workplace would be a fine start. He relates to both his employer and his employees very, very well--and that's just the most basic level of what he does. There could be about 10 different lessons in there on any given day, probably more than that.

As for the team itself, it's not hard to think that there would be some common bonds between overcoming challenges, obstacles, and adversity in many ways not only on the football field...but also in real life situations too. While they're just people playing a sport for fun, they can also provide some positivity for those who wish to see it. Sometimes you don't just have to be a kid to be awed.
