Used to be Guinness but I changed to this a year ago. Might have something to do with only being able to get cans of Guinness where I am, but I just find this an easier drink, particularly if you are having a sesh.

In general I'm not a big fan of flavored beers. I was at a Halloween party Saturday night and I never miss a chance to try something new and try to keep an open mind even if something is flavored. So for decent beers they had Sam's Oktoberfest which is a personal favorite and Harpoon Pumpkin UFO which I had not had before. So I figured I'd do a single HPUFO just to try it and switch over. I have to say perhaps the best flavored beer I've ever had. It wasn't over-powering like so many flavored beers and you could really enjoy it and actually taste beer, novel concept. I ended up sticking with the HPUFO for four in total and never tired of it.
I love Guinness but if a place has Murphy's on tap it's an easy switch for me. I think Murphy's is just as thick and actually a little sweeter. It's a good change up. If I am forced to go to a can or bottle and want Stout I actually prefer Sam's Cream Stout. Not nearly as good as Guinness or Murphy's on the tap but I don't feel disappointed drinking it from the bottle.
Massachusetts is home to what might be the best small brewer in the world: Tree House. They have 14 of the Top 250 beers on the Beer Advocate list (including 11 of the Top 50: # 1, #7, #11, #14, #20, #27, #34, #37, #40, #41, #46).
Managed to grab some of this yesterday:
