I've been amused at this particular bit of Disinformation.

The Media look at final records, note that none of the teams we beat finished with winning records, and harp on that as if it means something...

    :idontgetit:

Doesn't the record of the team at the time we played them tell a FAR truer story?? :idea2:

Check the Box Scores, gents: Took me 2 minutes to go through all 16 games.

The Patriots went 4-3 against teams with winning records, including:

1 ~ We were the only team to beat the Bolts as they started 4-1.

2 ~ We broke the 5-3 Jets' 3 game winning streak, and sent them spiraling.

    3 ~ We destroyed the 8-5 Broncos's 6 game winning streak...and Tebowmania.

So much for "not beating winning teams." :bricks:

That's more research time than most talking heads do in a years time.

The Ravens and Packers were the best vs. teams in the playoffs. They are both sitting at home. I rather assess it on how the teams were playing when the games were played. For example, the Chargers weren't an average team when we played them, but they became average in the middle of the season then good again.

Didn't we beat every championship game team last season? That's how far that goes for me i guess.

    Yup.
In addition to beating the Steelers, Packers, Jets and Bears, we beat the Colts and Ravens.

It doesn't matter. Haters are gonna hate regardless. They will never allow facts to get in the way of their storyline.

The mediots and reportards are all rooting for the Giants because of dollars. New York/New Jersey is a bigger market than the rest of New England combined, and radio/TV/Television is all about attracting the advertisers, because that's how they make their money.

The greater the pandering and salacious gossip, the more outlandish and garish the headlines and soundbites, the more folks will tune in, and those stats are what drives the advertising market, and makes the cash registers go ka-ching!

When New England wins the Superbowl, it will be all about the Patriots for a couple weeks, but the storylines will all have a current "yeah, but......." to them regardless of the score, the player's performances, etc. Is how the media rolls these days.

Like I said: "Hater are gonna hate". It's that crew makes their living.

Does this mean the Pats don't belong in the SB? I only want to be in it if we deserve it :D
