doesn't make the chiefs fans less douchey , just means one crazy fan killed someone over a football game, which is retarded

can't condemn an entire fanbase for the actions of one , or even a few fans

when you have SEVERAL incidents, such as raider fan incidents though, then they get a well deserved bad rep

that being said i know some raider fans that are pretty cool

I remember a few years back in my hometown where a Cowboys fan wearing a Cowboys jacket was brutally beaten outside of a convienience store by 2 local fans of the Eagles.....however fortunately he did survive

I don't even live near Philly (2 1/2 hours north) and still this dumb stuff happens far outside of where the team plays.

I thought then that it was senseless and this follows the same feeling.

I doubt it was even a Jaguars fan who did it, since there are not many Jaguars fans, even in Jacksonville.

A Bears fan was in the wrong place at the wrong time and encountered some scumbag(s) whose lowlife status has nothing to do with being an NFL fan and is no reflection on how good, bad, or indifferent Jacksonville fans happen to be.

    There are idiots everywhere.

Going to a bar in the Landing on any day besides the Florida/Georgia game is a bad move as its inhabited by Northside scum.

Have you ever been to Jacksonville? It's one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. right now. Northside and Downtown are toilets but the Beaches (which is where I live) and Southside are pretty nice areas with a good amount of stuff to do.

It's highly likely that it was a Jags fan.

That's awful... but to be fair, the article doesn't say anything about whether the incident was due to team allegiances, or whether it was just a random bar fight turned deadly.

Why in the world would anyone ever stab another person over a game? I wouldn't be surprised if it had nothing to do with the game.

Never been. I'm sure it has nice spots--every city does (even Houston), and it's right on the ocean so it has that. I've been to Tampa, which is full of cheeseballs, and Jacksonville just seems like a more sprawling, more rednecky Tampa. Am I wrong?

This happened early Sunday morning (like 2am), game obviously hadn't been played yet. Why is anyone murdered? It's just senseless psychopaths who roam the Earth and have no respect for human life or the consequences of their actions.

Not to go off topic, but do yourself a favor and learn what mental retardation actually is. Then please consider not using the term as you seem to do, constantly. Not to go PC on you, but you're making yourself look bad. You make a lot of good football posts otherwise, and they'd be even better without this. Sorry about the rant.

Regarding the Bears fan, it's beyond sad that something like this could and did happen. I'm a pretty big Pats fan, and I can't imagine doing something like this. Not that it makes it any better/worse, but they're not even in the same conference for cryin' out loud.

There's a good amount of rednecks but that's all over the south. It would seem that your issue is more with the south overall.
