    Stupid questions too.

This one sounds like Felgie Girl : "But in essence, you never actually stood in front of people and expressed your remorse, if that's the right word."

    and this one :

"Why didn't the statement apologize to the Jets?"

Why apologize to the Jets ? If we had cheated into that win then yeah - but we didn't.

These guys must be more stupid even than their writing suggests. As if BB was ever going to deviate off script there. Either that or they are just vindictive morons enjoying their moment throwing spears at BB.

It's probably a combination of the two.

Part of me wonders if Reiss has published the whole thing verbatim to illustrate just how ludicrous some of his peers are.

Do you feel the punishment was fair?
    "It doesn't make any difference."

These blood sucking leashes are only interested in keeping the pot boiling so they can write their dumb ass stories.

If BB answered one of those questions, those savengers would come up with 50 more and beat the dead horse repeatedly. Great job, BB for staying focused and not giving the sharks any more red meat.

    Hmmmmm, Here my take

Media : Blah blah blah .....blah blah.....blah bluh blah mumbo jumbo blah tic toc blah, zzzzzzzzzzzzzz....blah blah (6 minutes)

BB after first 30 seconds: We're moving onto San Diego. (Tuneout starts - thinking.....should I have turkey sandwich or tuna sandwich for lunch. Gotta call back Jon Bon Jovi for those tix; need to get home to take the dog for a walk and pickup the new Non fiction "Lone Survivor" about Navy Seals in Afghanistan)

I love Bill's defiance of the media's implied request for him to kneel before them, submitting himself to their moralizing. Some people just won't be satisfied until they have Bill nailed up on a cross and the organization has folded and moved to Canada.

It has been clear to me, ever since Ted Williams really, that most of the Boston Sports Media hate Boston teams. This might sound counterintuitive to rational non-Boston minds, but if you read their rants over the years, it becomes quite obvious. And even writers such as Jackie McMullan who were once seemingly fair, become infected with this sanctimonious venom over time till they are indistinguishable from the McDonoughs and Borgeses and Shaughnessys.

because that's what used to sell newspapers, and in the digital age of today, that's what get's you the hits on the website so you can get more sponsorship for Ad.

As much as media denies it, they too are looking to get an edge, albeit using other means. So, no different that what goes on in sports. They just claim themselves to be the voice of reason and voice of the masses for the masses, be it sports or politics

Belichick is as tough as anyone in the NFL. I wish he would say more, but at the same time really admire the way he sticks to his guns.

Guys. Get used to it. The press are wh@res. This will get worse before it gets better. He doesn't have the national media in there as he will on Sunday night. If you have thin skin, stop watching and reading for the next couple of weeks.

Apparently not many people here know how the media work. These are the questions that most non-Pats fans want answered. I'd really like to know how long he did this and if it gave him any type of advantage. If he said we started doing this week because Ernie wasn't around to catch teh signals and then said it actually hurt us more than helped us because Ernie is the best at what he does. I would have been pleased, so would many of us.

Belichick has left himself and all of his team's accomplishments up to the scrutiny of everyone else in the league and the media. Why is the media going to take it easy on him? If he were a good person and treated the media with some respect instead of treating them like dirt, it would have shown in that press conference. I've seen people face more serious scandals and get treated nicer, but that is only because that person was good to the media.

That being said, I really am looking forward to getting all this crap past us. Sunday can't come soon enough.

What a load of crap. When the media asks knowledgable, insightful questions about FOOTBALL BB becomes a damn teacher, he gives them GREAT answers. Unfortunately they want the juicy dirt and he will NEVER give them that. How is that not treating the poor media fairly????

I was a journalist for 8 years. Not a lifetime, admittedly, but long enough to know that time spent asking questions you know will not be answered is time wasted.

media is so stupid. if coach BB says were moving onto San Diego..is it that hard to understand? you think your going to change his mind and make him speak on the past subject? once BB makes up his mind..thats it. if he wont talk about the video..then he ISNT GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE VIDEO/SPYING INCIDENT

you are right...they hate all Boston Sports, no doubt in my mind. They thought they had BB cornered in this press conf, but he basically stuck to his guns and said a big FU

And in your 8 years, didn't you also learn that you still have to ask them? So if you assume that someone isn't going to say something, you just forget about asking the question all together. Because that two seconds it takes to ask the question could be better spent ... um, scratching your head. A regular Cronkite you must have been.

When a public figure is in a tight spot, and you get a chance to interview them to get their side of things, you have to ask certain questions, even if the answer will surely be "No Comment," which in the eyes of many people is essentially a sign of culpability. At this point, Belly does not have the case is still under investigation defense. He said he would talk more about the case when it was resolved. It's resolved, but instead of taking questions, Belly puts out a prepared statement, which either he or someone else wrote, sent it to the presss in the dead of night when he could not be reached for comment, and the next time he faces the cameras, reporters are just supposed to forget about everything.

I admit that installment question seemed kind of like piling on, but you don't know what type of article/column that reporter was working on, maybe it was essential for his/her story. It might have been a pro-Belichick piece.

I'd be annoyed by his attitude too if I wasn't aware that its exactly the correct way to go about beating the Chargers. I'd also be annoyed if I was a reporter who wanted a long weekend. If BB throws some bombs the stories write themselves; but since no bombs were thrown, the mediots have to work as hard as he does. Boo Hoo.

I applaud how he held himself in check, without going on a tirade!
If I were in BB's place, I surely would have walked down the podium and punched Tomase to pulp!!!
