That's because you have so much in common with them, Harry, including their headgear.

Harry again starts a thread about a dem and comments about dems only but includes the "and Republicans" to try to pretend he's not one. Lip service, harry

but if you care about reader comments, that says a lot

what I noticed is that the charges were dropped, and I wouldn't care anyway if the guy had coke, weed and vicodin at his home anyway (though the sodomy charge could actually have been something -- though if it were a real issue I don't know why that would be the charge rather than sexual assault or rape)

Let's stick together and get this guy the hell out!

    Nobody's perfect, not even republicans.

You don't care about the guy having coke, weed and vicodin, how do you feel about Limbaugh's Oxycontin?

For such an old-boy network, long time politician who's pretty connected and high up, Barney never seems to know ANYTHING:pigsfly: He never knew his live-in partner was running a call-boy business out of his own apartment either. Barney must be deaf, dumb and blind.

It amazes me how he continues to get away with anything and everything and always manages to come out with his job and life intact. He's been involved in some pretty slimy stuff; meanwhile other politicians feel forced to resign over far less than Barney's dirty laundry list.

Chico...Barney is among the slimiest of the slime. How or why would you defend the guy?

It's not Politically Correct to criticize Barney other than that, No Comment.

Why:confused: How can someone "not know" about past legal troubles but OK a bail out of their bank? He never seems to know anything about anything.

I don't give a sh*t about limbaugh and oxy -- as long as he doesn't start spouting off any hypocritical stances w/r/t drug policy, addicts, etc.

    When you wrote;

I thought you meant you wouldn't care if Frank had coke, week and vicodin at his home.....was my interpretation wrong?

I certainly would care if he did.

Los Angeles pretty much sums up where you're coming from.
You're used to this crap, you're standards are low to begin with.

Wasn't it the executive who (allegedly?) had those?

To answer your question if it were Frank, I don't know, to be honest. On the one hand, I think pols should be held to an even more stringent standard than the rest of us. On the other, I just don't care about drug laws, so it may be hypocritical for me to criticize him for something I have no problem with and might do myself (granted, I've never done coke, and I can use weed legally, but the point remains...)

You're right, I don't care if an adult chooses to use drugs. Including alcohol.

Don't worry, the rest of the country will catch on in time.

If an elected official breaks the very laws he/she is elected to represent, then they are certainly more accountable than you or I.

Vicodin and cocaine are about as "heavy-duty" as you can get. They are the choice of addicts, not recreational users.

I am a recovering addict/alcoholic and I've been around hundreds of illegal drug users and in my lifetime, I've only met 2 or 3 true "recreational" cocaine users. Coke is not a drug anyone should "try" on a recreational basis. It's about as psychologically addictive as any drug available on the planet.

I would not vote for any candidate who admitted they used coke...even if it was legal. Unless they said they regretted that they used it in their past. No responsible person uses cocaine....or maybe .001% of all coke users. It's a drug that will make the most honest person turn into a liar, cheat and thief. I know first hand.

Show me a cocaine user, and you'll be showing me an idiot..."no if's and's or but's"

Same goes for vicodin users unless they're on a legit prescription.

Weed users are cool. Especially those who prefer weed over booze.

I thought you said you voted for Obama.

    Maybe I misunderstood.

And what difference does saying they regretted it mean? Do you really think anyone running for public office would admit using any drug in the past and NOT say they regretted it? How stupid would that be????
