That would have been a cool play to see.

Are the Pat's about to become the Harlem Globetrotters of Football?

That wasnt the only play too. Later in camp the offense had a lateral play too.

Quick pass to Faulk who was curling over the middle at the same time Moss Did a inside slant from the opposite side and Faulk latteraled it to him.....I think that was the body of the real play but it didnt stop the laterals continued and even Brady had ran down field and he got the ball and threw it across the whole length of the field to faulk who continued to run with it.

The lateral is the most under-used weapon in football.

Anyone remember Troy Brown to A.Harris?

Hook and Ladder? My favorite hook and ladder. First time I was
it was Oklahoma vs Nebraska 76 FOR Big 8 title. OU down late
and pinned deep in own territory. No threat of a passing game.
Thomas Lott at qb. Hits S.Rhodes for a 10yd turn in who then
flips the ball to Elvis Pea**** flying down the sideline. Knocked
out of bounds inside 5 to set up winning TD. A good 5 years before
the Strock/T Nathan one.

The Pats of the middle to late 70s had many trick plays..hook and ladders...halfback option passes..a reverse to a TE with the TE throwing a pass...many others...the O of that era was driven by Ron Erhardt who used many unique ideas...Hmmm a throwback to that?? As much as I like the trick plays..I LOVE the versatility of the offense..what it COULD be....running game against some teams..plowing through teh field slow deliberately..and an air attack against others..

This will still be an air first team. Brady and Moss and Welker is to much not to be. Hopefully they get a little more consistancy from the run game this year. If they are healthier this year (which they should be especially if they carry an extra back) than they should be more consistant.
