One thing that 07 and 10 had in common was a Career Year from a HOF QB.

I'm not saying that the 11 team doesn't have all the right "ingredients," as it clearly does, but how far it rises depends on the "yeast" that Brady provides. That's an unknown; not that he won't have another "very good" season because he might be the GOAT and he surely will. But will he put together another year like either of those two?

I'm going to go on the safe side and say 13-3. There's inevitably 1 or 2 letdowns in a long NFL season. But the Pats are poised to dominate assuming that Haynesworth and Ochocinco work out. If nothing else our offense has the chance to carry us to a few wins on its potency alone. But what I'd really love to see is for the defense to step it up and steal us a few wins.

IMO the achilles heal this yea will be the LBs...especially if the injury bug hits the position.

With cap room available, maybe bring in Roth.

Roth is now a Jag (and might be a JAG) - depending on the defensive scheme LB might or might not be a problem... but there's always injuries and nearly every team has some weaknesses, so the point remains valid.

There's no question that 3rd down D and pressure on the QB was a defensive weakness last year - and on offense the lack of a deep threat WR was another weakness.

BB has made an effort to address it - whether the players he brought in are up to the task is up to them.

I think this team will be better than last year, but the regular season record might not show it.

You guys are nuts for thinking that this year's team is coming close to that 07 team. That team was a minute and change from going down as the greatest sports team in US history. If not for that lucky catch from a WR that hasn't played a lick and that dropped pass by one of the most sure-handed CBs in the game, that team would have gone down as the greatest ever.

That team is still the best Patriot team of all time even though we didn't end up winning the SB. You line up that team against any of the past SB teams we've had and have them play a 5 game series, and that 07 team will win more than they'll lose.
