If true, Matt Millen should be fired for turning this deal down and selecting his 4th receiver in 5 years...
----------
"A month earlier Denver had offered two first-round picks, a second-rounder and two third-rounders, plus veteran linebacker Al Wilson, but when the Broncos wouldn't substitute another second-round pick for the injured Wilson, Millen turned them down. With that, the bar was set high.

Two minutes passed. Four. Eight. Not a single ring. And Millen wasn't going to make any calls. In the macho world of NFL deal-making, to do so when you're on the clock is the ultimate sign of desperation."

Well he wanted a starter to go along with some high valued picks in the draft. They offered Al Wilson who can't even pass a physical, therefore he rejected the trade offer. I must admit, his history with selecting WR's in the first rounds sucks but at least he can't get grilled for selecting the most sought after and most talented player in the draft with Johnson.

But he should be. Turning down that Denver deal is moronic. That team is a mess and they didnt need another WR.

Though I am glad he turned it down because the thought of going against CJ is frightening....If he is on the Donks.

If BB and SP were running Detroit, they would have taken all the picks.. do not even need Wilson unless healthy.. would turn the franchise around instead of picking wr primadonna's.

WIth so many picks they could have got joe stanley(OT) and kahil (C) this year and fixing their OL in 2 picks and let the other OL fight over the other spots.... this would have won more games...
