I'm sorry I had to leave for work, so I didn't catch his interview on the Howard Stern Show, I was wondering if anyone heard it and if he had any information on Spy Gate?

I know Howard Stern blasted him a few weeks back. Stern was upset that Specter was spending time of Spygate while the Sirius/XM merger is being held up in Congress. Stern doesn't seem to be a fan of Specter.

It is obvious though that Specter is using Spygate to keep him in the spotlight for his upcoming book.

The very brief part of it I heard was about his book. He is a just loves to have his name out there in the media circles.

He was on WZLX's morning show yesterday and was going on about his winning battle with cancer(good for him), but I didn't get a chance to hear the part when local Boston people could call in and ask him questions. The one part I did catch concerning the Pats was when one of the hosts asked him an intro question to Spygate he said something along the lines that he looked into it solely because he thought they spied on the Eagles during the Superbowl. Anyone else hear it?

I must say I've never rooted for cancer before, but.....

    Ahhhh, still against it.

I could be in favor of severe hemorrhoids in Specter's case, though

Can I talk about my book please

Here is the deal...I completely understand the Senator has questions, but he appraoched this alllllll wrong. He should have had a fellow senator from a state that has no professional to propose the inquiry. The man has lost all credibility, and unfortuniately a guy that probably spent the last 30 years trying to make a positive difference in the world is left looking like a belly aching sore loser.

They had part of his ZLX interview on Fox25 last night and the callers were ripping him a new one. It was great.

Re: Can I talk about my book please

Ya know. He's proven his irrelevance to the political landscape with this stupidity.

I really don't like this guy and I think that at some point someone needs to start asking the Senator the hard questions about Comcast, Walsh's Lawyer, connections to the timing of the news break (Super Bowl), Eagles connections, NASCAR connections, etc etc.

This guy is a ticking time bomb, someone just needs to light the fuse and I'm disapointed that no one has.

Actually, Specter going on non-mainstream shows like Howard Stern's (and to a slightly lesser extent, Rush Limbaugh's and Jon Stewart's) shows is a good thing. Appearing with people like Stern makes him look like a buffoon; far less credible than if he were to be on any of the vanilla middle of the road shows like Today, Good Morning America, Oprah, or Regis and Kelly. Add to that, he is an in-office politician spending time hitting the talk show circuit in an attempt to make a buck by pushing his book. This is an act not considered to be acceptable or ethical in the minds of most Americans because it's as if he's making money writing and promoting a book when he should be working on the nation's problems. The public is far more likely going to come back looking at the ethics and motives of a public servant under a microscope than it would be at further scrutiny on the Pats. Time will tell, but my opinion is that this is an offensive move of Specter's that will backfire.
