Was Tom Brady tipping New England's plays? - ArizonaSports.com
Too bad maverick and NEM aren't here to start their "McDaniels is too predictable" rants.
Sounds like he's trying to make himself sound like a genius when its pretty logical that if Bradys in the shotgun hes more likely to pass and the team is more likely to run when he's under center.
Considering that they fell for the play action a couple times the whole they run everytime he's under center theory is false
That's not Brady tipping the plays, it's just being predictable.
So how did they allow them to score in the 2nd to last drive ? When it works , you are genius...
It was even easier last year. If they went no huddle and Brady went under center, it was almost always a zone run. It stuns me that no one dc has said this before.
funny because I remember at least a few drive killing runs from shotgun with woodhead. Im also pretty sure we ran some sort of PA from under center.
In 2011 if Brady was on the field, the Pats were probably going to throw it.
That theory worked especially well on the last drive when they let Woodhead walk into the endzone.
A little luck makes anyone look like a genius.
It really not even predictable, its tendency. Every team has down and distance, area of field, and formation tendencies.
If they had run every time from under center or passed every time from the gun, that would be meaningful.
More likely to _______ describes every offense in every scenario
The majority of teams in the NFL are tipping run with the quarterback under center and pass with him in the shotgun. This is nothing new.
good going josh
anyone miss billy obrien yet?
they can talk.....because whatever it was, it worked in the end
Horton Hears a Who!
Nothing like taking the credit away from the players by making stuff up.
Brady was in the shotgun 39 times on Sunday. The Patriots ran it 11 times, and threw 28 times on those snaps.
Meanwhile, Brady was under center 43 times in the game, and the Patriots ran it just 17 times on those plays. So they actually passed the ball more when Brady was under center than ran it.
No but that Weis guy was pretty good.
To think that this would have been posted going back to 2009. :bricks:
But Linda was here. Did you miss "her"?
Would you like to take your Mulligan now?
Ray Horton has developed a severe case of Rexinitis... win a game vs the Pats, thump your chest about how awesome you game-planned into their hearts and souls... he definitely didn't come into this game to kiss BB's rings. Sounds like he won his Super Bowl.
