I'm a tad, but ONLY because we won by 3 points.

If we hadn't played them, I would not be afraid at all.

If we can stop the Giants from putting up 35 again, we'll be fine. Not to mention we didn't have Neal, Kaczur, or K Brady.

I may become more worried as the media hypes up the Giants team and downplays the Pats. :D

Why worry about the Giants... The Pats are the greatest. I just hope the Giants can keep up with the juggernaut. It is nice of the PATS to invite the Giants to the party.

Both teams and their coaches are going to be very well prepared for a variety of circumstances which may occur during the Superbowl. It will be a tough battle, I'm sure, but there's nobody I'd rather have than Coach BB making our calls.

Our Pats know how to remain focused during high-stress situations and they will. We know they've got the skills to win.

The Giants are playing their best football of the year right now and the Pats are struggling a bit. I think it will be a competitive game.

It actually sounds funny to say that the Giants are the hotter team when the Pats have won 18 straight, but I haven't been really impressed with the Patriots offense lately. I'm not quite sure what is wrong, but they are not firing on all cylinders.

The good news is that Belichick's record against teams they've already played once in a season is absurdly good.

The media, of course, will only talk about how the Giants can beat the Pats which is why I am going dark for the next 2 weeks. ;)

Giants are playing well but with weather becoming non-factor at Arizona, I expect Pats to get easy win.

Of course I'm worried about them......... They are the only team left standing in front of our perfect season. They earned the right to be here. I will say this in a perfect weather game (and it will be), I am much LESS worried about the Giants than the Packers, cause GB has the offense that can keep up. I'm not convinced the Jints can. Our D, which played well yesturday, won't cough up 35 like they did the first time around.

The Giants are confident and that works in their favor... and frankly, I can't fault them for feeling that way.... they deserve to be in the Super Bowl and I think we all recognize that the NFC was not going to be a pushover this year.

Sure the Patriots will be as "up" for this game like none other before... the prospect of achieving NFL Immortality will ensure they are well prepared... such pressure normally wouldn't help but this team doesn't mind that...

That being said one would think this team should have been playing better in the playoffs with so much at stake and that hasn't been the case. Perhaps we'll find out after the season that the pressure WAS getting to them - but for now, at 18-0 I think the Pats will find a way to win... but I'm expecting another close game and if the Pats don't play to their full abilities, I do expect they could lose.

Let's be REAL for a moment....

Yes, the Giants played a great game in week 17, matching thier starters against ours.

But as I pointed out to my buddies during that game, the Patriots held thier cards VERY close to the vest. The offense ran NO misdirection or trick plays against the Giants.

The Giants were over-pursuing and McDaniel kept the play selection very plain. As they did over the final 3 weeks of the season vs. the Jets and Dolphins as well.

The last game the Patriots dug deep into the playbook was against the Steelers. And that's what we are going to see in the Super Bowl.

We showed the Giants plain Vanilla. They're getting Rocky Road in the Super Bowl!

    No Worries!

The Giants were handed a TD by a BS celebration penalty and they scored at the end when NE was letting them bleed the clock.

NE still put up 38 points wiithout their starting RG, RT or their top blocking TE. Since O"Cal and Brady were out they were unable to use an entier part of their offense, the 3 TE package. They also had Watson single blocking Strahan (normally Brady's job) on numerous plays which only aided NY more.

NE's red zone defense had its worst game in over a month and a half in that game as well. They seriously can't play any worse than they did in that game.

I am not that worried. I personally think that the Giants played the best game of their season in that game, better than any of their playoff wins. And they still lost.

    Not so worried -
Pats were up by 10 and gave up a "prevent" , time draining TD at the end.
Pats gave up a kick return which probably wont happen again
Pats maybe underestimated Manning's chops which wont happen again.
Pats Oline is 100% improved over that game.
Pats run D has been getting better and better.
Maroney is running with a confidence and power I have never seen from him.

Of course, it's the Superbowl. You don't get there by luck.

Most of us at one time or another has said the key to stopping the Pats is to be able to get pressure without sending extra men; the Giants are capable of doing that.

This will be the first time the Patriots have played in perfect conditions since Nov. 4th against the Colts. Brady has had his off game and will be primed for his next Superbowl MVP. BB will have two weeks to scheme for a baby Manning. The last time, he got vanilla. The biggest question, after yesterday what kind of offense will the Patriots deliver and how is an opponent going to game plan against it.

That has been a thought I've had since last night. I seriously doubt the Giants will spring a special teams return for a TD in the Superbowl.

    Edit:

I will acknowledge that Plax has played like one of the WR's near the very top of the pile in terms of quality in the NFL.
