I was watching this cool new show called Pawn Stars on the History Channel 2 nights ago and during one of the opening scenes you could see the Patriots SB ring which I believe was from SB 36 as part of thier inventory.

The store is located in Las Vegas

I was wondering which player had pawned this in that store,If I am not mistaken JR Redmond was one of those that Pawned his SB ring but not sure if it was in this massive Pawn Shop in Vegas.

Anyone here also spot the ring?

Brock Williams' 2001 Super Bowl ring has appeared on the new History Channel show, Pawn Stars. According to the official website for the show, the shop's proprietor has the ring for sale at $100,000.

That is a good show, but I did not catch the episode you speak of.

Leonard Myers also pawned his ring. I'm sure there are others.

    O.k. thanks for the info

I wonder what they paid him for it

Usually pawn shops give you 40% of the value so I would think Brock got $40,000-$50,000 from them - Thats quite a nice profit if someone buys it at that price.

EDIT: After reading that video it appears he gave him far less than that for the ring because he does not want to sell it and put a 100G price tag on it.

I bet that Pawn Shop has one helluva security system, there is millions of dollars of stuff laying around that store.

I live in Vegas and love the show.

I was in the shop about a month ago and asked about the ring. It does say Williams on it and the guy in the shop said that it was a rookie DB who needed money for a poker tournament and pawned it. He never came back for it. I assumed that it was Brock Williams. I believe that he was drafted that year. I also believe he was from Notre Dame and got injured that year and never played for them again. I didnt see the episode where it was said it was ACTUALLY Brock Williams ring though.

I watch the show all the time, it's a really good show, and have never seen that episode but they have talked about it and said it was one of the items worth the most money in their store.

It's on every episode, it's part of the actual opening sequence of the show--pretty much the last thing you see before you go to the actual show.

If you watch it, you'll see the owner of the shop Rick, holding a tray of expensive rings etc.

It's the one right directly in the center, the 1st SB victory (SB 36).

Imagine what our SB 42 Ring is worth to a pawn dealer with the undefeated season as part of it....

Unless you've somehow manged to go poor, I don't see why you would ever sell your ring.

I am totally with you on that one. Before seeing this one of my dreams was jsut to have enough money someday to enter the Tourny once. Large chunk of change to just throw away so I would have to be pretty well off.

You can certainly add me to the list of people who would head straight there is I actually won the thing or any huge Slot hit too.

If you do that I would 'haggle' with the Pawn Shop guy...There is no way that ring is worth more than $35,000...he just does not want to sell it so he offers it at an incredible inflated price.....try $30,000 and I bet he goes back to his creepy looking dad in the back room and gets the O.K. :)

    Gotta win first. :D

And really the only you buy this is if you win enough money where haggling wouldn't matter. Still would do it but just for the principle not because I need the best price.
