I'll be 38 in October and I've had my tickets since 1992. Time for me to step down and let the people who want to go to Foxboro take my place.

If anyone wants to give Bob Kraft $5,000 by March 31st let me know.

Its an honest post. I'm ready to walk away. Too much money for me.

Is it just the economy etc, or is there more to it than financial concerns?

Its a little bit of both. The drive is a pain in the arse and the cost hurts.

I think the Pats are the only team in the NFL that require full payment of season tickets by March 31st.

5k is not cheap..... I'd pass and use that $$$ elsewhere.

Been to games.... Baseball, Football, Hockey

You get a better experience on the TV versus being their. I see that getting old...... few games a yr why not...

Direct TV and a 58 or 54 inch TV.... i'm already in the game.

Daddy needs high Def w/ capable HD TV.... but I don't see that happening for at least 2 yrs. In 2 yrs...... friggen High defs will be cheap and Plasmas' will be second tier and some new thing will be out.

96/97 Had season tickets, living in Pa was better off just going to 2 to 3 games a year.. Happy doing that... I dont know how people can afford to go pay parking etc.. Its a huge finnacial commitment..

Hopefully, you can still catch a game or two every year, therefore cutting down on costs significantly and still going to the more 'important' type games. It must suck having to sacrifice that after almost 20 yrs, but as we get older we have different priorities too. That extra money could possibly be used on something else you desire, or for your family etc.

As another poster said, DirecTv is a great way to go for the NFL Sunday Ticket. You can also split the cost up over 5 months throughout the season too.

    Hope everything works out.

EDIT: sorry Sean, was typing while you suggested same thing--2 or 3 games a yr

Parking is ridiculous. $40 to park across Route 1 from the Stadium?

I love the Pats, but this is it for me.

Pretty soon Gillette will be as corporate as the SB. I love watching on TV during the kickoff and again at the beginning of the second half and all the red seats are empty. Folks are shaking hands and drinking merlot in the mall.

Ok folks. The Pats just can't win with this board.

Belichick lets Vince walk and we are the cheapest franchise ever. Or he signs for the highest NT contact ever and no one wants to pay or parking!

For me, the worst was when the Pats were really good and they got put on all those Sunday and Monday night games. I mean, how many fans can take their kids to the game and put them to bed barely by 2 AM in metro-Boston and not get chewed out by the wifey??

The really sad thing is it doesn't get cheaper going away from the stadium. Places a quarter mile down the road in either direction will charge $50+ because they can offer a shorter drive to the highway. In a weird way, parking at the stadium is a better value.

You will learn to love watching games on TV.....

My Dad, a decorated/accomplished D1 athlete even thinks season tickets are a waste of $$$.

It is good to go multiple times in a yr or two/ few yrs.... but seriously ST's not worth it overall....

Is it all EGO for the majority... just to say they were there??? plz...

Hope things r good..... and you have a good set up at home. $40=BS (to park)

I go to a game here or there, and based on that I wouldn't buy season tickets. $5k ,$50 parking, and seats that cheerleaders can barely fit into. If I had the tradition of tickets since 1992 though I probably wouldn't give it up. Too many good memories with family and friends and I'm sure you met a lot of good people.

Why would I give up my tkts?? 5k?? You can always move your seats and go up to the 300's for about half the price..

U can take the train there for a lot less than 40 bucks..

How is he bad mouthing the Pats? like him, not many people can afford 5K tickets plus commuting costs and parking.
  18. I have never had as good of an experience in gillette as I did in the old stadium.........

in fact, the whole experience has gone downhill since kraft has owned the team..........I use to love being able to sit wherever I wanted

I can't really say that I blame you. The economy is a b!tch. I would love to have season tickets but I'm in college, working full time, and paying rent. Needless to say I'm bleeding money. Hopefully I can make millions one day, though, and obtain season tickets with a private jet so I can fly to Foxboro on gamedays from the Caribbean.
