Had coach DICKa on and he had the audacity to say "Hey remember what I told you about character? These Miami doofins have character......this is a great story right here.....they never gave up....Heck.....I'm much more interested in this story about the miami doofins not giving up and going 1-13, than I AM ABOUT THE PATRIOTS GOING 14-0...I'll tell you that.....
What?????????? Are you kidding me?? That old, fat, pile of horsesh## DICKa is a sore as$ed jealous AHOLE!!!!!

Then He and golic (one of the biggest Pats haters ever) went on to rip what the Pats have accomplished by saying "Hey.....what is 14-0? It doesn't mean anything really. The 72' doofins won all their regular season games, a playoff game, and then the super bowl.......If the Patriots don't go all the way and win the SB...then the 72 doofins record remains intact....and they havent accomplished a thing!" Golic: "I couldn't agree more"!

Can any of you believe this sh##?? Do these two douche bags realize HOW EXTREMELY DIFFICULT it is in TODAY's NFL....where the game is 1,000,000 times faster.......MUCH, much, much more talented players playing the game....More teams that are loaded with talent....and even the worst team in the NFL this year....(Oh wait a minute....the 2007 doofins may struggle against the 72 doofins) would beat the 72 doofins as$es......more games being played in regular season....and so on and so on???

The Pats winning 14 games in today's NFL....BLOWS AWAY what those old geezers did in winning 16 games in 72........BY A LONG SHOT!!!!

    F' DICKa.....F' GOLIC...........GO PATS!

This post stinks. Nobody ever said they "have accomplished nothing" if they win out. I've listened to those guys daily for months, and I've never heard anything remotely as idiotic as what you are stating.

Something you have to realize is that the glitter is off of this team because everybody is resigned to them winning out for at least the regular season. It's not a thrill or a surprise at this point. It will rate mention when they do it, but it will be quickly forgotten in the wake of the playoffs.

Get used to it - the season is far from over and much bigger things are on the line, and many teams are now hopeful of postseason play, and the Pats are not the only story in town.

You are right......cowherd gives them HUGE props.........The ironic thing is that ESPN overall hates the pats.....yet they have a section for the Patriots on their ticker tape....go figure.....

Are you people soft in the head? If you take any team in the league and put it in a perenially dominating position, it will pick up anti-sentiment.

Don't wear yourself out expecting the world to fall all over the team with praise and love.

there are two games left on our schedule right.....are you guaranteeing wins? There is no guarantees in the NFL......Anthony "Starks" Smith proved that.......

What the Pats have accomplished is PHENOMENAL......and it pisses me off to have anyone try to trivialize it.......

What is Ditka always chewing on? If it is 8 AM or 11 PM, he's always chomping away like remnants from his last meal are still hanging around. However, I like Ditka because he is honest and speaks his mind in an unfiltered manner.

    I heard the segment.

Golic said that if the Pats go 16-0 and lose in the playoffs they will not be remembered as the equal of the Dolphins.

    I don't disagree at all.

No, you are wrong. And if you were to ask 100 completely unbiased people their opinion, probably 95% would agree that you are wrong. Perfect is perfect. And perfect for a whole season plus playoffs is ALWAYS more impressive than perfect for 7/8 of a season.

I was listening this morning and heard this too, but I didn't take what Ditka said the same way. I though his point was that the Dolphins improbable win yesterday was more entertaining to him than the Patriots expected win.

Although trying to translate what Ditka says into coherent thought might be a waste of time.

good post man.....at least this validates that I heard these two saying what they did...(you hear that front line?)..How you interpret it.......maybe that is a different matter......I really don't know how can you look at it any other way than as an insult.....However, as you say....DICKa is hard to "read" sometimes.......thx

Because instead of praising the Pats as a salary cap marvel, they've gone with the evil storyline all year. As with most stories that the media invents in the absence of actual facts or real human drama, the Mangini v. Belichick nonsense didn't pan out to be the juicy story they were creating yesterday. So now it's boring to them. The love of sports for sports and greatness for greatness is dead.

they're just trying to earn their pay checks and stir up some controversy.

that said, going undefeated but not winning the SB is not the same as what the dolphins did. the pats are layin' it all on the line. like it or not, fair or unfair, whether it's the line of Patriot Haters or not, they're either 19--0 or a footnote to the fins.

You're right that it is a more impressive accomplishment, but they are right, too. If the Pats don't go the distance and close the deal with the Super Bowl, the whole winning streak thing will be pretty worthless. Sorry, but to think otherwise is the Patriots equivilent of Dan Duquette's ol' "more days in first place than any other team" pre-2004 Red Sox mantra.
