It's not for me, at least not in 2010 but that's sweet, thanks :) It's something I'm putting together for one of my brothers who's getting married this fall and thought it might be funny to have some good ol' boyz advice for him! I know there's "never go to bed mad" but there's gotta be more!

I haven't had an opinion since 1983, which coincides with the year I got married!

The only advice i can give is : Be Ready for Reality

All that fairy tale land of love etc people tend to be during boyfriend/girlfriend stage goes out the window.

Its like saying 'now your farts smell' hahah.

I myself, got married knowing every day in marriage is a "situation" sorta like going in combat. Just have ammo "love for her/him" , plan strategic missions well "do smart **** together, apart from too much parties" and realize like in war, you win some and you loose some and eat "humble pie" hahah!

    good luck!

Try to talk them out of it and then when they don't listen, say "I told ya so" later.

1.When we go out together putting a lime or any other fruit in your beer is not acceptable, if you want a fruity drink order a colada

    2. If I’m acting like a child it's probably because I’m being treated like one

    3. I refuse to leave any game before it ends to "beat traffic"

    4. The only time I want to cuddle is only after a devastating loss by the home town team, like the game that shall not be named.

    5. Your right it would be nice if I came home with flowers for no reason, but there's no reason you couldn't come home with a six-pack either.

Just tell him its going to be great, best decision ever, it will be much more fun for you if he's totally unprepared for the sh1tstorm coming his way. You can watch his slow progression from once proud man to beaten down shell of a human.

    My Jersey:

First, one must ask themselves... "What is a wedding?"

Well, Webster's dictionary describes a wedding as the process of removing weeds from one's garden.

Yet somehow that seems to fall short of capturing the true essence of the day... really it's so much more.

But ultimately no man is complete until he's married. Then he's finished.

Tell your brother that when he screws up, forget about it right away. There is no sense in two people remembering that for the rest of their lives.

........ oman you guys are BAD! Great advice though, I feel like I'm eavesdropping on a bachelor party lol.

Why marriage USED to work but no longer does (from Moga's site which should either be banned or also told from the woman's side:p)!

I like the one about yes he can bring you flowers but it's nice if you also bring him a 6 pack. That's actually true, it's definitely a two-way street except on your birthday which should be ALL about YOU!

    I love these!

Easier said than done. That maybe true for a smaller segment of the population but, it's definitely not true in all cases. Marriage is exactly what two people make it.

Correct. In that case it must be what the husband makes of it as the religions practicing bigamy tend to have male/husband centered relationships.

Which makes sense as I have no other way to explain how a man could endure multiple PMSing wives. :D

I've got to say the "No Marriage" website - while very sad, can be very very true. Any man considering marriage would be well advised to have his wife to be review that website and sign a pre-nup that stipulates she's committed to avoiding similar situations.

There's plenty of Mormon fundamentalists groups out there. Legally they're not married but they don't let that get in the way of having what is for all intents and purposes, a plural marriage. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mormon_fundamentalism

I don't get it myself and while everyone acknowledges that the government over-reacted in its raid of the FLDS church a few years back it still strikes me as a pretty creepy society.

I know, what's up with that? Back in the day a person had to sue for divorce, have grounds for it etc but now the process seems relatively easy by comparison. I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing, you just wonder how much effect the no-fault's had on divorce rates.

It does seem a little nonchalant. Maybe it's fashoinable? Your not in the crowd until you've been divorced.
