It's easy, and only takes a few moments. There's always a "chance", but from the way Asante himself was talking a few weeks ago, it seems unlikely. There may be a deal done, in principle (as well as principal), with the parties awaiting the proper time to announce it.
Is there any cap advantage to holding off announcing a new contract? That is a question for better capologists than I. In any event, these possibilities make the draft a compelling spectacle.
Saw Dre Bly's contract...
Samuel could be a major distraction this year if he chooses to be (think Deion Branch, Lance Briggs).
I would like PATS to sign him to long term deal....but if they can't...
what about package him with #28 pick...move into top 10 and take either Landry or Leon Hall?
I dont think it would be advantageous for us as far as future salary cap problems go for us to move up.....
why sign all these impact players , then trade your #1 corner makes no sense, they can afford the hit and it gives them a year to test drive samuel to make sure hes not a one year wonderSaw Dre Bly's contract...

Is your signature really necessary?
Samuel won't hold out after he saw what the Pats did with Branch. Besides he will be making a load of money unlike Branch last year.
Besides why would a team not draft Leon Hall but instead take an older Samuel? Granted he's "proven", but Hall could still have a longer and more productive career. Hall will also give a team the long term franchise CB they're looking for and sell a lot more jerseys
