I wasn't aware that NFL.com was using the NFLDraftScout profiles -- excellent news.

Anyone who reads the positives for Cason will understand why he's a legitimate Pats prospect. Of course it helps if you've also seen him play. :)

Thanks for posting.

He's an outstanding player and really motivated and hard working. I really like him and hope if we do draft a corner in the first round, this is the guy:D Thanks for the video. Really enjoyed it.

A little more on Cason from footballsFuture.com:

Antoine Cason CB 6' 185 Arizona
By: Robert Davis

From the time Cason stepped on Arizona’s campus, he has been something special. Not many true freshman start their first game in college, but Cason did, and he has started every game since. As a freshman, he was in on 70 tackles, with 5.5 coming for loss, along with four interceptions. As a sophomore, he had already emerged as a big time corner and teams went the opposite way, but he still managed 50 tackles, 2.5 for loss, and three picks. Cason earned All America honors as a junior, finishing the year with 62 tackles, two for loss, and three interceptions. Cason came back as a senior to win the Thorpe award, finishing the season with 71 tackles, four for loss, a sack and five interceptions. He returned two of those picks for touchdowns, and also added two more TD’s on punt returns.

Cason has the ability to be a true shutdown corner. Not only does he have the athleticism, quickness, and ball skills, but he has the attitude of a top tier corner. Cason will not back down from anyone, and loves be tested. He shows the ability to turn and run with receivers, and has the ability to locate the ball while it is in the air. Cason does not shy away from run stopping either. He is very active and quickly reads a run and aggressively pursues the ball carrier.

Although Cason is a complete corner, he could be more disciplined. He will go for the ball and the big play too much. Also, while he is not small, his size is nothing special, and he is a tad lanky for an NFL corner. With his aggressive style, he may need to bulk up to handle the way he throws his body around.

Cason surprised many when he decided to return for his senior season. With good workouts, he could have been a high first rounder. Cason had another huge year, solidifying himself in the first rounder. Some underclassmen may test out better, but on the field, Cason is as good as any of them.

Also, from the NFLDraftScout.com Profile already posted:
Compares To: CHRIS McALISTER-Baltimore...Cason's game is similar to that of the Ravens' McAlister, another former Arizona cornerback.

Since that FootballsFutre.com profile obviously came before his combine numbers, I'll add the updated information:

Height: 6'0.2" Weight: 191lbs (so he gained 6lbs) Forty: 4.49 Bench: 20 reps Vertical Leap: 35.5" Short Shuttle: 4.08 Broad Jump: 10'8"

Career Stats at Arizona:

Defensive: Started 46 games, recording 253 tackles, 14 TFL, 6 FF, 1 Sack, 32 PBU's, and 15 INT's returned for 349 yards and 3 TD's.

Allowed only 23 receptions of 73 targets, and held the opposition to 3.53 yards per pass attempt in 2007.

Punt Returner:
27 returns for 227 yards, and 2 TD's.
