Another Florida Gator football player arrested...for barking back at a police dog

Re: OT: Another Florida Gator football player arrested...for barking back at a police

Most, if not all, police departments consider harassing a K-9 unit animal a crime, and are very protective of the dogs. He'll just have to live with the fact that in some instances, being an idiot is a crime.

Re: OT: Another Florida Gator football player arrested...for barking back at a police

What a stupid law. I'm sure not everyone would get arrested for that.

Re: OT: Another Florida Gator football player arrested...for barking back at a police

You don't **** with K-9's. Those dogs are not only service animals but are employees. You definitely don't bark back at K-9's.

That dude is a moron.

Long live the UofF - the University of Fools.

Good to see Urban Meyer's team is keeping the Ohio police busy:

In addition to the reported dismissal of starting running back Carlos Hyde, the Columbus Dispatch is reporting that star cornerback Bradley Roby was arrested in Bloomongton, Ind. Sunday and faces "preliminary charges" of battery resulting in bodily injury.

A nice pre-season two-fer.

Just a few more reasons not to like Urban Meyer and any of his pro football prospects.

Perhaps Mr. Meyer should be more well known as "Urban Decay"

Looking good for the Detroit HC job then.

Hahaha, no need fer name callin'. The Gators beat lots of people's favorite college teams...and will do it some more.

The thing that is clear...when a Gator gets barked at, that Gator will bark back. "But he barked first", says Morrison.

Then there is this former Florida Gator from a week ago (though it should be noted he was in Gainesville long before Urban Meyer arrived there):

Former NFL player accused of leaving toddler in car while he went in strip club | Tampa Bay Times

A 41-year-old Redington Beach man faces a charge of child abuse after authorities said he left a 3-year-old girl alone in a car while he went into a strip club.

Monty Ray Grow, 41, was arrested Sunday night at the Diamond Dolls club, on U.S. 19 near Clearwater. Grow is a former NFL player and also was a Florida Gator. He played for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1995 and the Kansas City Chiefs in '94, according to ESPN.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said Grow was supposed to be caring for the toddler when he went into the strip club.

Authorities did not say how Grow knows the child, but said that at 9:09 p.m., the girl's mother tracked Grow's vehicle — using GPS — to the club. She and the girl's grandparents arrived there six minutes later, and got the girl, who was uninjured, out of the vehicle.

Then they called deputies.

As deputies arrived on scene and investigated, the Sheriff's Office said, Grow ran out of the club. It was 9:48 p.m. by that time.

Grow admitted to leaving the child unattended, officials said, but claimed he had only stopped by the club for a few minutes to collect money he lent to a club employee.

Records show Grow was released from jail early Monday after posting $5,000 bail.

the only thing that moron should have been barking at was the porcelein in the club's mens room...

It's the little things in life... that make it oh so enjoyable.

Your name wouldn't happen to be Travis, would it?

Re: OT: Another Florida Gator football player arrested...for barking back at a police

No more Florida. More Rutgers please!

Re: OT: Another Florida Gator football player arrested...for barking back at a police

I do not know about the legality, but that is stupid.

But it is like telling the guy with a gun he doesn't have the balls to shoot, except the dog has LESS CONTROL, because the dog is, well, not human and doesn't control its impulses.

Re: OT: Another Florida Gator football player arrested...for barking back at a police

But they arrested him for it.

Seriously mr. 5 0. Seriously?

How about Korey Harris ,the D-lineman for WVU...?

"
Korey Harris, a sophomore defensive lineman, is no longer with the West Virginia football team following an arrest for first-degree armed robbery.

Harris was arrested last Friday for a July 12 home invasion, where Harris and two others entered a Morgantown home and held the residents at gun point while burglarizing the house. One tiny flaw in Harris' plan: He was wearing his WVU-issued sweatpants with a #96 - his uniform number, as you can see above - on them. The three men got away with cash and electronics.

Harris is being held in North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $75,000. In April, head coach Dana Holgorsen announced that Harris was suspended from the team for spring semester.

Harris' bio is no longer on West Virginia's website and his name isn't listed on the official roster. When asked about Harris, WVU's director of football communications Mike Montoro told WBOY-TV, "We have no comment on individuals who aren't with the West Virginia Football program." The three-star Florida native played in 11 games last year as a true freshman, notching four tackles.

We have seen some dumb college football-related incidents so far this offseason - barking at a police dog and attempting a jail break with hedge trimmers, for example - but nothing that managed to mix the danger of armed robbery with the stupidity of wearing your uniform number during the crime quite like this."

I don't know...I'm thinking this is all the work of...

Wait, how did I miss that?

Is he related to Marvin Barnes?

For those too young to remember, Barnes was once one of the very best college basketball players of his time - but not the sharpest tool in the shed. The Providence College hoops center once robbed a liquor store in broad daylight with no attempt at all to disguise himself. If being a young 6'9" guy didn't help narrow down the list of suspects enough, perhaps the fact that he did so while wearing his school's basketball jersey - complete with his name in large letters on the back - to the scene made solving the crime fairly easy to accomplish.

I played ball against Marvin in high school...he wasn't even the third best player on Central's State champs that year...when he went to PC with Ernie D he became famous. Years later he bottomed out and was living in a car off Broad St. in Providence. He's gotten straight and sort of on his feet...here's his twitter page
