Only someone with absolutely no grasp of history would ever claim Jimmy Carter as America's worst president.

So either you're a hack, or totally ignorant of history. Neither reflects very well on you, now does it?

Getting that out of the way, it may be a better decision to move the trial out of NYC due to exorbitant security costs. However, federal court was and is the best venue for this sort of thing.

Reid was only one of many suspects tried by the Bush administration in federal court.

To the best of my knowledge, only three detainees have been tried and convicted by military tribunals since 9/11.

Though I don't think Carter was the worse President ever, it's common concensus that he's the worse in the last 50 years, likely longer.

And Obama is repeating many of the same mistakes Carter made. Take the latest proposed stimulus (aka jobs) bill. Carter tried the same thing in 1977 with a jobs credit ($7000 in todays dollars). It's impact was short-lived and didn't work as intended:

Obama's so-called jobs bill is nothing new. Even Democrat Ron Kind of Wisconsin states that the tax credit "doesn't do anything new around here except the history we repeat".

The Obama administration is destined to become worse than Carter's. Even though Obama has the luxury of history, he's still repeating the costly mistakes of the past, instead of doing what has proven to work:

Perhaps you weren't alive during the Carter administration, 17% mortgages, unemployment, not as bad as obama mind you, but pretty bad runaway inflation, and the Iranian hostage crisis.

You are either a hack or totally ignorant of history.

The guy was the worst of the past 100 years.

The military tribunal was a tremendous success:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:... what was something like 3 people tried before this court???

Bush did an absolutely wonderful job in this whole area, and Obama was left with a mess...

Once again, here we have the various luminaries of this board making stuff up.

From actual historians, a real ranking of US presidents:

So not only was Jimmy Carter not the worst president of the past 100 years, but he's not even in the bottom 10 all time. But guess who is? Your boy, George W. Bush.

So I guess the real question you all should ask yourselves is whether Obama will be a worse president than George W. Bush.

Historians Rank George W. Bush Among Worst Presidents - US News and World Report

    And once more for posterity:

Simply to underscore, once again, just how clueless you really are.

And as usual, JackBauer comes in with completely unprovoked ad hominem (which the moderators gladly ignore) and then he makes a complete fool of himself by showing just how ridiculously ignorant he is.

Boy it sure must be nice to be a liberal in here! You can say or do anything you want!

I must have hit pretty close to the mark to get you all riled up like that, huh?

BTW, nice ad hominem. I am sure your personal attacks on me will go completely ignored by the powers-that-be.

There's always one person on boards like this that all you can do is shake your head and laugh - because "they're so smart and everyone else is so dumb". All insults and no substance. Yea, they end up making fools of themselves over and over again, but sometimes it's best to treat them like a screaming two year-old. Just ignore them till they grow out of it.

I'm going to predict right now that KSM will be the fourth because I think Holder's backtracking now and is waiting for public reacation to his statement before he caves in. I wonder what all those that have dug themselves into the federal court only sollution hole will say when that happens? There will be spin....guaranteed but my God!, what will the world think of us then:confused:

Then again I could be wrong;)
