No one seems to have mentioned it, so I thought that I should remind everyone that the bombs, which killed 52 people here in London, exploded a year ago. Thankfully, the day has (so far, at 6.45pm) passed peacefully. The two minutes' silence was well-observed. The best thing about today, though, was seeing everyone going about their business and using all forms of public transport. That's the best way to give the terrorists the finger.

Thanks for reminding us. Let's hope the people of Baghdad will one day bounce back from the terrorism there like the people of London and New York have done.

I heard one newswoman on MSNBC say that the British were "celebrating" the first anniversary of the bombing.

Cat, correct me if I'm thinking wrong about this, but I don't think there would be any celebrating going on in Britian. Is there?

Celebrating is the last word I would use.

I briefly caught a snippet on MSNBC last night about British muslims and Muslim converts and how many of them were more of the fringe element who justified the 7/7 bombings along with the 9/11 and 3/11 attacks.

Very scary the mindset of the Radical Muslim.

Odd that I remember the first place I found out about it was right here on Patsfans.com (either from Gomez or MiketheBrit). The thread that day was poignant, to say the least. IIRC, the thread started here within one hour of the last explosion.

Here's a prayer out to the 52 souls.
