Well .. now that's certainly a better choice than John "Stone Face" Kerry. A long time member of the Foreign Relations committee and the Judiciary committee. He was a proponent of the Afghanistan war and pushed for a bigger force which was correct compared to what Rumsfeld screwed up. It will take the strong war support issue away from McCain which will force McCain to focus on the economy and domestic issues where he is weaker.

Good choice if Andrea is right ... we will soon see.

Well, Tomase doesn't have a good track record with the truth but Drudge is saying the decision has been made - Biden seems like the best choice to me given Obama is a nothing in foreign affairs.

I think it will be Nunn. From Georgia, highly respected, solid military credentials, as old as McCain and probably seems younger, fiscally conservative, pushed for don't ask/don't tell but has since changed on that one.

Sam Nunn or a T Rex, one of the two. My God, Sam Nunn ? Wow. He's almost as old as McCain and has been out of sight, out of mind for a long time.

Well, as far as experience and credentials you can't get much better, but I do think he will turn a lot of people off with his attitude. Since I'm rooting for McCain I am glad it isn't Hillary, but as someone that thinks Obama is probably going to win I wish it had been Bill Richardson. If Biden was smug before he'll be downright insufferable as VP.

Joe Biden? He'll reliably say something very stupid at least several times a month. Should make for a very entertaining autumn.

    Joe Biden

"This is not a time for on-the-job training and no matter how smart the next president is, you know and I know that they don't make really difficult decisions, no matter how bright their advisers are, unless they feel it in their gut. These are good decent people, these Democrats. It's going to take them awhile to get their footing; we don't have a whole long time," Biden said.

[IMG] Biden appearing on The Daily Show, August 2, 2005: “John McCain is a personal friend, a great friend, and I would be honored to run with or against John McCain, because I think the country would be better off, be well off no matter who...”

[IMG] On Meet the Press, November 27, 2005: “I’ve been calling for more troops for over two years, along with John McCain and others subsequent to my saying that.”

[IMG] Biden, on Obama’s Iraq plan in August 2007: “I don’t want [my son] going [to Iraq],” Delaware Sen. Joe Biden said from the campaign trail Wednesday, according to a report on Radio Iowa. “But I tell you what, I don’t want my grandson or my granddaughters going back in 15 years and so how we leave makes a big difference.” Biden criticized Democratic rivals such as Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama who have voted against Iraq funding bills to try to pressure President Bush to end the war. “There’s no political point worth my son’s life,” Biden said, according to Radio Iowa. “There’s no political point worth anybody’s life out there. None.”

Looks like it's Biden - I heard that he's combing through previous VP acceptance speeches to find one to his liking.

Libs - chill, it was a JOKE.
