    Terror attacks are for the police? I suppose they are, if they're small enough.

    I'd be interested in finding out what the Times' position was on the confiscation of guns in England before paying attention to anything they have to say about democracy not being threatened.

    Excellent editorial. We now know that Al Qaida was a ragtag operation that got "lucky" in the U.S. under Bush's watch because our intelligence agencies did not do as good a job as they had done prior to Bush.The fact that Al Qaida has failed to launch another attack here shows that they were not strong at all in the United States. They have only become strong as a result of our war in Iraq, but that's what Bush needed for political purposes. He and Rove look upon our soldiers as nothing but political fodder.
