Do you think America wants to see the Pats AT Indy, or the Dolts and the Colts?
I dunno, let's ask her.
They'd probably want to see a Saints-Pats SB. We'd be the villains, which suits me.
I don't think anyone is going to be rooting for the Pats actually. Everyone thinks we are so overrated, and the world would LOVE to see Pay-me-aton finally get to a super bowl.
The world doesn't care who wins. They just want to see good games.
Most want to see a LT - Peyton Manning matchup. I think many would like to see the super chargers with their powder blues in the SB.
Me, I want to see the pats destroy Chicago. I too have a long memory.
Yes, that's a good one.
Keep wishing, the world is not that smart.
Can we get a ban on this idiot for his despicable sig?
And yes, they were (and are) that good. 3 Super bowls don't lie. Not on par with the Colts....that sounds oddly familiar.
I still don't know why the cool thing to say is how great those uniforms are - they're kinda gay to my eyes.
I think America is rooting against the Patriots, to be honest. They want to see somebody else win it all. The Pats aren't flashy (like the Chargers or Colts), instead they're methodical and efficient. A lot of outsiders I've come across say they're sick of hearing how great Tom Brady is in the playoffs and want to see him fail. There are people who loves the Patriots and hate the Chargers, but I believe there are far more who want to see the Patriots lose. To hell with them. You can call it inferiority complex if you want, I call it as I see it. Here's hoping the Patriots put the haters to rest.
I think that's a blatant stereotype.
Like the Saints-Eagles game.
From the people I know, I would say this would be true. "I'm sick of the Patriots" is the prevailing opinion of those I know.
yup. we are the most hated team in the land.
I guess that means the the Cowboys, Steelers and 49er's are better than the Patriots because 5+ superbowls dont lie?
Your logic is flawed
I think being from New England, or even the Northeast, turns off a lot of people in the rest of the country also. I remember in the buildup week prior to SB XXXIX, my local paper's sports columnist said she wasn't as interested in the SB like she usually was because both teams were from the Northeast. Maybe it's jealously who knows. I'm not jealous, but I don't dislike people from up there either (obviously if I did I wouldn't support the Pats).
america wants to see pats/colts because of the recent history (cbs really wants this for the ratings)
and then they want to see the pats lose (the network airing the sb won't care about the outcome but they do want that matchup) to the saints in the sb
they'll look at it like the healing of a city/passing of the torch type of crap.
The way the media is slobbering all over the Patriots' c()cks it certainly appears as though America is pulling for the Pats.
They like to temper their enthusiasm by emphasizing that the Chargers have done some nice things in the regular season... and they've got some weapons. But really, no one outside of the Chargers fanbase really expects Marty to get his elusive ring.
I think he gets it and rides off into the sunset on his favorite electric mobility aid.
What media are you talking about?? Everyone I talk to expects the Chargers to win in a landslide, and that includes most of the media here in cali. Maybe I'm on the wrong side of the bridge??
Separate names with a comma.
