per his campaign promise, Obama is getting all of the troops out of Iraq by 31 December.. while the silliness continues over Obama's GPA Etc, major news..

Of course there will be those who will whine about this somehow, it is expected in this partisan world.. unfortunately those who lied about this will never be held accountable.

    Mission accomplished.

And yet another piece of evidence to support the notion that Obama has been a very good president on foreign policy.

I liked this war better the first time we fought it, when it was called Vietnam

That is great but we all know that the USA will have a military presence in Iraq for a long, long time. We have bases in Korea, Japan, Germany, the Philippines, etc. Sad but true.

I dont mean to hijack, but I thought we closed the Philippines after the Volcano there. Not sure if all are out of there, but the big base at Subic Bay was closed.

Sounds like Romney is questioning whether Obama changed a previous plan due to political considerations?

I assumed the announcement at this time was throwing a bone out to try and shore up his base.

    PF....

I know you are "The middle" in the human centepede with Bush and Cheney....

But giving credit to W for troop withdrawal of a war that 99.999999999% of functioning humans know was a fake war that could've been avoided is disturbing, and disgusting.

you are way better than that....come on?

Happy to see troops coming home, but this has been in the works since 2008. Everything was always contingent on stability, and thankfully that's been the case for the most part. Hope it stays that way.

Since you are giving Bush all the credit: Are all the American, British, Canadian, Australian military deaths and casualties his as well? How about all the civilian deaths? Does Bush take credit for those?

All that $#!t along with the debt and budget and jobs stuff is all Obama's fault. When it gets fixed (eventually) it will be because of things like "The Surge" and "No child left behind"

Wasn't it nice of Obama to include the cost of the wars in the budget when he took office? Would have been nice if GWB included that tidbit in his budgets when he started the wars.

I'm getting sick and tired of the right wingers blaming Obama for everything.

agreed...also sick of them crediting the French and the British for Libya...

The right wing is such a frickin hijacked joke. I'm proud to not be one of them.
