I follow and read these Monsanto stories with great interests. I know I suffer from conspiracy syndrome at times :confused3: but I think there's much truth to many of the Monsanto horror stories. These people are very powerful in the food industry and especially in Congress. They are squeezing out the small farmers and that's just one side of them.

We have many intelligent members in the forum ... hopefully a few will like this topic. I want to see where it goes ... here in our forum.

I'll start with the latest Monsanto story:

I just threw that in there ... really the thread is about Monsanto and their manipulation of the food we eat. I don't hate Romney or Obama ... no axe to grind here - they both have faults and benefits IMO. I took it out ... i'd rather discuss Monsanto.

Manipulation of the world population is easily done through food.

Truth be told, I'd prefer a plague or Astroid, but that is a topic for a different thread :)

I don't trust any manufacturer. It's a fact corporations continue to produce hazardous or fatal products as long as the company's bean counters give the green light, as the profits trump the total lawsuits (drug companies do this routinely). They say don't put plastic in microwaves. But the plastic products containing microwavable foods are safe, right? One only has to remember the tobacco CEO's raising their right arms in court swearing to tell the truth, so help them God......so were they all atheists?

Finally something we can all hate on :)

Mosanto's practices are well documented and downright evil. Miss the old family farms and the lovingly grown farms of yesteryear? Mosanto is one of many reasons they're not around anymore.

They bully farmers all around the world. A profession that IMO is one of the most noble and deserves the most respect.

They strive for control of the world's crop production. Dangerous.

Clarence Thomas used to represent Monsanto.. enough said.

The drought and subsequent effect on the corn crop is one of the reasons that the price of gas has gone up..

If you garden buy your seeds from Johnny's of Maine or other organic source..

I remember driving to W. Springfield to see relatives, and we had to hold our noses as we drove by the plant??

Back in the 1950's I Drove Truck for "The St. Johnsbury Trucking Co" I have made delivery's to Monsanto at that time in Everett Mass, my truck was sealed and I had to drop the trailer in their yard, we were told by our dispatchers under no circumstantces were we to open the doors on that Trailer we also at times were dispatched over there to pick up the empty the rear door would be open and we had to close it, the inside of the trailer would be cleaner than my house "steam cleaned"

I was sent there one day to make a pickup, they loaded a 55 Gal Drum onto my truck, I had three more pickups to make the next one was on Atlantic Ave on the waterfront, I was in the back of the truck packing cartons onto the top of this drum, I felt heat, I put my hand on the drum and it was like touching the top of a stove.

I drove to the nearest Boston Fire House and told them what I had, a fire captain came out with me and climbed up into the truck, he took one touch of the drum and told to me come on back into the station with him then he told the other firefighters not to go near it. He then made a call to Monsanto and told them what was happening, they told him they were sending one of their own trucks out to pick it up.
They arrived about 45 minutes later, the Captain asked them what it was, the driver played dumb and told him he would have to have the Fire Dept contact Monsanto, I don't think that Captain ever found out and I certainly didn't.

Jesus only knows what those people have today that we don't know about.

I went back there many times after that and I used to ask the guys on the dock at Monsanto what could have been in that drum, they used to laugh and say "we don't know what the hell goes on in this place"

» Monsanto Apologists Attempt to Spin Shocking GMO Study Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind!

Cows are now being fed cookies and candy because of the droughts and fires-it won't be long before we're all growing an ear on our backs.
